I?ve driven by Lokal Sandwich Shop on Fifth and Main several times and I always tell myself that I should support our new local... restaurant. Well I finally checked out Lokal today and I?m glad I did. Their menu surprised me. I didn?t expect to seeVietnamese Bánh Mi sandwiches on their menu. I have a fondness for good bánh mi and Lokal?s sandwiches are goooooood. Iordered the K-BBQ bánh mi which is one of their most popular sandwiches and it did not disappoint. The marinated beef wastasty. The meat has a little sweetness to it that?s reminiscent of traditional Korean BBQ meat. But what really impressed meabout the sandwich is the French bread! It was nice and airy with flakey/crispy outside and soft inside. Usually French breadcomes out hard but not at Lokal. Theirs is perfect. I?d suggest the K-BBQ bánh mi but don?t sleep on their other items. Theylooks just as good. Read more

I ordered Grilled Chicken Banh Mi and strawberry banana smoothie on Grubhub. The food came in time and i had no issues The bag... was taped so if it was broken you would know it has been tampered with. My drink also was taped so it doesnt spill and doesntget tampered with. The Grilled Chicken Banh Mi was delicious! The sauce, the chicken, the veggies, and the bread was tasty! Itwas a good amount of sauce and wasn?t overwhelming to me. In my opinion, i enjoyed the Banh Mi here and would come back again inthe future when I crave Banh Mi. It was also a good portion and filled me up! The strawberry banana smoothie was decent. When igot it, it seemed to be watery. I think the ice melted a lot so my drink became watery or watered down. The flavor wasn?t quitethere, but maybe due to it being watered down. Although, towards the top, it was pretty good. I dont think it?s the store?sfault for my drink being watered down since it was being delivered to me. Overall, I would recommend this place! I ordered through DoorDash today for the first time. I was looking for a Banh Mi sandwich for lunch and was delighted to try... this place. I ordered the Korean BBQ beef banh mi, and my co-worker had the chicken banh mi. Portions were great, the taste wasgood and I like my sandwich. The bread was so damn good. Crunchy outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. I would go back forthat french roll alone. They have other sandwich options as well. Their turkey sandwich looks delightful. Overall, thesandwiches we had were delicious, and worth the price. Would definitely go back to this place and try more of their sandwiches. Read more
