Reviews for Little Sister DTLA in Los Angeles, CA
The food was actually pretty good: we got buttered noodles, chicken wings and pork skewers. However they bring food as it gets... ready and our appetizers came last after our entrees. Most of the food was already cold by then. The service could definitely bebetter. Our waiter's behavior was definitely sub par for a restaurant in DTLA. He was not very reciprocative, waved his fingerat me to sush when I wanted to get something and we had to wait a long time to order food. 7/10 for food 3/10 for service Read more
The food here is good enough to satisfy your East Asian food cravings. Portion sizes are quite big, so good for sharing. Service... was great and the ambiance was also great and lively. Will definitely come back if I'm in the neighborhood again. Read more
It?s our first time back since the pandemic. Love the Vietnamese fusion offerings in this place. The crispy prawns with tamarind... dipping sauce, the lemongrass chicken wings and the octopus salad are our favorites. The pork spring rolls were ok. The blackrice with seafood is a huge order, meant to be shared by a large group. For dessert, we got the key lime tart and it is betterthan any we?ve had before. It was a great lunch, Zach took great care of us. Read more
Been wanting to try this place for the longest time and finally had it to-go. Wished I had eaten in, cause the ambience is so... nice! Def not like your typical Vietnamese restaurant, it actually looks like a nice place to go on a date. But with that said, although the food tasted good, it was a little pricey. Like I said, maybe come for a nice date. Read more
Heard lots of good reviews about this Vietnamese restaurant and finally got around to trying it. Ordered their beef pho,... chicken pho, and sesame baguette as an appetizer. The beef pho was hands down the best pho I?ve ever had :O The meat in thisbroth was such high quality and the broth was rich and flavorful. I usually don?t eat the meat in my pho because it is overcooked most of the time but the meat here was so tender and fresh. I loved how it also included oxtail in it, that was a nicesurprise! The chicken pho on the other hand was a little more on the blander side and didn?t have any meat varieties aside fromthe chicken breast. The sesame baguette came with: European butter, pate, and tomato jam and the flavor combinations of thespread were so good together!! Can?t wait to come back to try the other menu items including the banh mi!! **Update: tried thebanh mi and it was amazinggg. Absolutely loved it. Got the #sgv and the roasted short rib sandwiches and both were bursting withflavor. Price: $16 for pho (a little steeper than other pho places but WELL worth it!!) $18 for banh mi but also well worth itbecause the portion sizes are huge! Read more
This place was great. Very unique, creative take on Vietnamese food. Really original dishes. Service was fantastic, and really... went overboard to accommodate dietary restrictions. Read more
Went purposely for Pho but I was told they only serve Pho & Banh Mi at lunch time. Very disappointed but no choice since we... already have our seat. Ordered Spring roll & Lemon grass pork chop rice. Both taste are so so. Lemon grass pork chop was notmarinated sufficiently. A bit overrated. Read more
