Reviews for KTown Pho in Los Angeles, CA
A nice hole in the wall. Food is wonderful. The people and customers are warm and inviting. The parking is the only thing I'm... having a problem, but hey it KTown so what do you expect. All n all came in hungry, came out happy and full. Read more
Had the Pho Dac Biet. It wasn't bad. Hot, semi-flavorful broth. It wasn't the worst, but definitely wasn't the best Pho I've... had before. Also the spring rolls are over priced. Read more
I can?t recommend this spot. Also, I?m writing this on my partner?s account? She was feeling like Pho so I stopped to pick some... up with a fresh roll for supper. When I arrived at her apartment I realized the container had not been sealed properly and hadcreated a complete mess in the car. I went to run a quick errand and she took the food up to the apartment in hopes of salvagingthe dinner, but it was no use?the pho was dripping out everywhere and the mess had now extended from my car to her carpet. Shecalled the business hoping to get the order replaced and was told to come back to the store. Once there the cashier told her toshow him a picture and she did just that. The cashier said he needed to quickly check with the owner. He came back with a phoneand it was the owner. The owner then said he couldn?t replace the order without the original food. She calmly explained that thefood was no longer in any shape to be transported. He said that people try this all the time trying to get free food and if hewere to replace her Bun Bo Hue he would go out of business. When I heard all of this I was very confused and swung by theestablishment to find out why this simple fix couldn?t happen. The cashier?who was doing his best?told me that if they replacedthe order it would come out of both his and the line cook?s wages. I?m not a lawyer, but I?m confident this is illegal and ifit?s not, well, it?s certainly unjust. Anyway, I?m not usually one for Yelp and certainly not on a Saturday night, but as ahuman being and a former hospitality employee, not only was the customer service disappointing, the conduct of the owner wasabsolutely appalling. For these reasons I simply cannot recommend Ktown Pho. Read more
I mean, for Ktown, this is the best you can get. Good pho is surprisingly hard to get around in LA, but this does the job, with... flavorful broth, decent prices, and a homey feel. They have plenty of indoor seating toward the back, don?t be deceived by thefront take-out order section. Read more
The four different kinds of spring rolls where great. The chicken salad was also good. The bahn mi or sandwich was also decent.... If you're ever just in the mood for a good sandwich. This is one to try. The lemonade and the Thai tea where way too sweet formy taste. I don't know if you can ask for less sugar. But I wish you could. Couldn't finish the lemonade. Also for those itemsabove we paid almost $60. It's not exactly cheap food. But I'd come back for the spring rolls. This place is busy and right onwestern. So parking can be tricky. It's small and next to a pet grooming store. The AC was on full blast and I feel like theykeep it that way. Bring a sweater. Read more
After reading the reviews I thought this place was the best. Unfortunately my experience was not best. I had combination pho and... my partner had eye round rare steak. Honestly, we both didn?t really like the soup because the taste of fish sauce wasoverpowering. BTW the amount of meat we got was not satisfying. The funniest part was they only gave us a little bit of beansprouts, a little tiny piece of basil, 2 slices of jalapeños and 1/4 slice of lime each person. Read more
I'm going to preface this review by saying that I'm Vietnamese American, born and raised in Orange County, just about half an... hour south of LA, and will admit I'm pretty spoiled when it comes to Vietnamese food. As a result, I've always been skepticalabout Viet food outside of OC. However, I can confidently say that this place is pretty authentic. Though they're known fortheir pho, I ordered the vermicelli noodle dish (combination) and was quite impressed of how authentic the ingredientswere. The only thing I didn't like however, is that they don't put carrots in their egg rolls and also way too much blackpepper. As for the service, it was pretty decent, but not bad at all. If I'm in LA, I'll definitely come to this spot when I'min the mood for Vietnamese food. Read more
Great spot! Right in the corner of Moette Pl and Western. Those Bahn Mi are bomb! Staff is friendly too. Called in and picked up... my order with no problem. There is some parking though the alley in the back but usually gets packed. Read more
