Absolutely love this place. Really amazing selection of natural wines from small producers, and an incredibly friendly staff who... genuinely care about and love what they do. The salmon guanciale was out of this world, and the unagi bento was anotherfavorite. Read more

Had high expectations of this place but a few things just fell a little flat. Came here for a casual birthday dinner and was... disappointed. Sushi was just ok. Other dishes were better so I would avoid ordering it Service was annoying. Our server askedus for our order, we repeated it 3 times as she tried to memorize our order (btw the menu is very small), until she finally wentto get a pen + paper to write it down. Even then, she or the kitchen forgot one dish in our order. We kept checking on it and itwas very apparent it was just forgotten. We had to wait almost 45 minutes between our last dish and the forgotten one. Overall, the prices were not worth it. Only redeeming dishes were the uni toast and eel rice bowl. Read more

Even an hour after dinner, my mouth is savoring every flavor. Highly recommend ordering the kyoto-style sushi and the truffle... toast! I also appreciated our waitress's perfect sake pick for each of us. I already wish I could go back! Read more

Location was great as it was in a tranquil neighbourhood in West Hollywood, we loved the views outside of the restaurant too. We... went there for lunch and opted for the set menu which was a traditional Japanese breakfast. It was nice and homey, but the pricetag was quite unreasonable in my opinion... USD30 for a bowl of rice, miso soup, small piece of grilled salmon, and somepickles. I could do that at home by myself for much less. The overall experience was good though as the environment was nice. Read more

This is a brand new restaurant and already I can see it becoming a neighborhood favorite. The menu is simple but not basic. The... venue is small but very open. The food is well done and not very expensive. They have an awesome Japanese breakfast course. There’s an open kitchen and the chefs are innovative and very friendly! P.S. - They are not part of Yamashiro. Read more

If you want to sit in a unique and beautiful spot sipping natural wines, this is the place to go. Want to empress out of town... friends? The patio has a clear view of the Hollywood sign. The decor/design is done in a modern Japanese minimalist style thatreally suits the setting. The food is good... not cheap... but really tasty. A restful, quiet place just off of Hollywood Blvd. Read more

Gorgeous location on the Yamashiro property. Small but well done. Only did the breakfast set but it was exquisite. Nice beer and... wine list as well. Read more
