The guy in the front was EXTREMELY nice. Hooked up our meal & kindly brought it out to the truck to us. Tasty, piping hot,... fritters on point, condiments in the bag, fish & chicken seasoned to perfection. I'll be back again soon. Great deals on family& personal meals. Read more

Came here on a Saturday after finishing some work at Cal State DH and arrived a little after noon. There were a few people in... line but we were served promptly. Not sure how I found out about this place but was very impressed. The chicken was delicious!And the fritters are fire. ???????????? Get a two or three piece and you will not be disappointed. I ordered spicy but it wasnot hot at all? I am still figuring out the perfect order. Skip the coleslaw, it looks like it came out of a bucket. Not sureyet about the other sides. Funky place in a questionable neighborhood but well worth the visit. Saw numerous hookers blocksaway on the way there. The signage looks like it has been untouched since the 70?s or 80?s. the cashiers are behind blast ratedplastic plates. I imaging when/if they were robbed the robber would be more interested in food than cash. ???? It has been twohours since I ate there and I already want to go back for more! Update: just tried it again. Got the onion rings and the pastasalad. Could have skipped both. Stick to the chicken and fritters and you will be fine. Read more
Being I don't do the Thanksgiving because of the true history of that demonic day... I decided to go to Jim dandy's and I must... say the chicken tastes better now than it did 3 years ago ???? yes you did read that correctly! It has been a minute since I'vebeen here and it seems that the chicken is more tasty than it was in the past... Also more juicy on the inside. If you know whata pressure cooker is it kind of seems that is what they use however they don't it's deep fried. A wonderful chicken skin crispthat you will want to eat again and again and again is coating the outside of that juicy chicken breast ???? Again it's a placein South Central however you are able to park right in front so don't feel weird.. I suggest walking inside place your order goback outside and sit in your car.. what about 10 minutes go back inside your order should be done! Read more
