This was a great surprise discovery for me when I was working in the area looking for vegan food. The restaurant is a small... vegan Mexican place which also offers vegan desserts. I tried the taco place and the tacos were fantastic. The mole chicken wasespecially great. The beans and rice were just okay but the three tacos filled me up anyway. I'm not vegan but I do enjoy vegan eats and I can honestly say the food has good flavor, there is a wide selection of desserts ... that taste amazing and friendly service. The only downside is the beans and rice are not that great and I prefer something alittle more fresh even if it costs a little more but it's beans and rice. Maybe as a side given alternative of salad orsomething. All in all it's my second time here and I'll more than likely be coming back. Read more
So glad Doomies decided to open a Next Mex here around the raza. I feel it's important to introduce our latin culture,most... importantly, that vegan food is delicious without any animal meat. Today I decided to swing by and pick up some of my favorite tacos de tinga de pollo, ofcourse, EVERYTHING is VEGAN ? Got my friend a fiesta carne asada bowl, 2 drinks and VEGAN chocolate truffles. Honestly mostpeople will think vegan meats are terrible but with amazing cooks spicing and cooking everything up correctly, you got yourselfaffordable, vegan latin food. My new favorite taco spot. Sister to the Doomies in Hollywood and similar to the NextMex in Hollywood but smaller. Just... burritos, tacos, and desserts. But ah-mazing. The best tacos I've ever had and furthermore, the best VEGAN tacos I could haveever imagined. Havent gone anywhere else or even made tacos at home since because everything will pale in comparison. Staff isalways super friendly, very helpful, and knowledgeable about all of the food. Great food. Horrible service!! I will not pay for horrible service even if the food is good. Ordered the chicken sandwich with... fries and asked to upgrade the fries to ?K? fries and was told they don?t do that and I would have to buy another set of frieson the side for $7. There is no option to buy the chicken sandwich a la carte and therefore I would have to buy a meal ofchicken sandwich and plain fries and then pay $7 more for an extra set of fries.
