This was our second HomeState, after our first time in Pasadena. The staff were super attentive, food came out fast and it was... nice to sit indoors with air conditioning on a hot summer day. This is a lot smaller so if you visit with a large party, you maynot be able to sit together. Food was not *quite* as good as in Pasadena but I can?t put my finger on why. Homestate is always a cute place to grab lunch with friends. This location specifically is my favorite because the back patio is... perfect! The food itself is good, but often times I find some of their menu items lack flavor and seasoning. It honestly justdepends what you order but overall it balances with the ambiance. Read more
Pecos - brisket, eggs / 5 ????! Guadalupe - chorizo, eggs, cheddar / 5 ????! Trinity - bacon, eggs, potatoes, cheddar / 5... ????! I went to HomeState after a big hike and it hit the spot! Every ingredient was fresh. The eggs are a standout, light andfluffy. So tasty. All three breakfast tacos were very tasty. I added the house made green and red salsas as well.
