Amazing service and delicious food- a true LA Mecca of goodness with tremendous stories. Love that the patrons all come from... interesting walks of life- the table next to us was a group of civil grand jurors on lunch break, behind us was board members ofa non-profit and I was have a fab catch up with one of my former PhD professors in education. I enjoyed 1/2 of a beautifulchili relleno sandwich and took the other 1/2 home. With more people an order of chiliquetas is a must. Thank you Homeboy formaking Homegirl cafe possible. Read more

The grilled cheese was more than filling and all of the veggies in it were seasonedperfectly. We got it on the sourdough bread, which I highly recommend. The sandwich also came with egg on it. Best tacos! Had the house coffee that was delicious with right amount of spices. But the best of all was the service!!! That's... why this place deserves 5 stars.
