Reviews for Holy Cow BBQ West LA in Los Angeles, CA
Loved their excellent service and attention from the staff, but to my taste everything was too sweet, by everything I mean all... BBQ meats, coleslaw, all sauces. Was too much for me Read more
Beware if you use Uber or any other delivery service. They forgot to send the BBQ sauce 2 orders in a row. I called and they... told me a manager isn?t available and it?s only $2!!! It?s not the money. Ordering BBQ without the sauce is like ordering a subwithout the bread. These guys are in the wrong business, should be Holly Cow, we?re out of BBQ sauce!!! Epic fail Read more
Stopped in for the first time today. Had the brisket sandwich. For some reason it comes with slaw and pickled onions on the... sandwich as though it were pulled pork. I managed to work around that issue. The brisket was below average. The meat was slicedin multiple different shapes and thickness rather than just sliced brisket. One rather large chunk was just fat and should neverhave been served. No real bark, no smoke ring at all, and frankly I couldn't tell if the brisket had been smoked at all. Thefries were good, but not s typical BBQ side. Ice-tea was drinkable. As a native Texan it's a struggle to find BBQ in LA. I'vebeen here 5yrs and have continuously been disappointed. They even mention TX on the menu, but this was far from even averageBBQ. Hope this changes as i don't live far from the Pico location. Read more
Well, we used to order from here when it was in Culver City. Ordered a the 2 meat platter, corn, collard greens holy rolls (... never got) instead we get over cooked fatty meat barely any meat on top of it. Also got sweet potato fries. Soggy and terrible.I think the total was $60.00. Used to be good but I guess this is what happens when business expands. No I didn?t give them achance to make it right: I don?t care enough. Read more
It is honestly some of the best bbq I have tried in LA. Greatest remarks to the people who make the food. The Brisket I had was... really juicy and cooked to perfection. I also tried the fried chicken sandwich and it was well presented and the chicken wascrunchy as it should. I would definitely recommend trying it. Read more
I love this place so much! And please do yourself a favor and order the salt and vinegar pork rinds as a snack. I also highly... recommend the sausage links and the brisket. Great place! Also perfect for low-card/ Keto diet followers. Read more
Spectacular barbecue! Had the ribs, hot link, brisket, and tri-tip and they were all top-notch. Cornbread and slaw also great.... Good value for the price, as well. The only room for improvement that I see is their BBQ chicken salad could use better greens.Minor criticism though. Will definitely be eating here regularly. Read more
Was in the neighborhood and decided to try this BBQ place. Holy Cow was it not up to par. The Baby Backs ribs were small, like... they cut them in half, and the taste had a sour smell, maybe they use vinegar in their sauce. A bit over cooked and dry. Theholy roll, not impressed. The kettle beans seem like Bush baked beans with some kick to eat. The beef ribs, one tasted reallygood the other was dry. The highlight of the meal was the Mac n Cheese and the Hot Link. Both delicious. Might be back butmight just hit the happy hour for the Hot links and Mac N Cheese. Read more
