The shoyu ramen was really good - the broth is strong and tasty and the noodles soaked the flavor into it. The duck was cooked... nicely as well. The karage was freshly made and great as well. I found out about Hachioji after watching Bad Bunny?s Yonaguni music video. I had an idea the food would be good and I was not... disappointed at all with the Ramen. Cute restaurant in Little Tokyo. Had a legit Japanese vibe to it - crowded little hole in the wall restaurant. Place was clean... and the staff were nice and friendly. I don?t like complaining but the food was disappointing. I had high hopes for authenticJapanese ramen. The broth was nowhere near authentic. It was watery, had minimal fat and was overly salty (I got the TonkotsuUmi ramen). The ramen noodles were like random Chinese noodles. The bamboo shoots tasted like they came out of a can or jar(slightly sour like they were pickled). The pork was okay.
