Reviews for Gloria's Cafe in Los Angeles, CA
I have eaten here for many years and I always order the house burrito. Tonight we ordered from door Dash and the burrito was so... bad I had to throw it out and ridiculously expensive. It tasted like a pile of salt wrapped in rubber and the chicken was so dryyou could not chew it. To make it even worse they were ridiculously rude when we called to add a soda to the order And refusedto do it. I don?t know what happened to this restaurant but the last two times the food was not great but I have eaten here forso long and always loved the food I thought I would try one last time. How disappointing $20 for a burrito That was so bad Iwouldn?t even give it to a homeless person. And I don?t know what happened to the prices but completely ridiculous to charge$5.50 for a tiny side container of rice they should be ashamed of themselves Read more
What a great "try something new" experience! We found this place in Diners, Drive-ins & Dives. The seafood soup caught my... attention, but I actually ordered the Salvadoran Plate (I think that's what it was called) with pupusas and green corn tamales, black beans and rice. So delicious (I ate too much)! The servers were super friendly and helpful. We sat inside because itwas a bit chilly, but the outside eating area looked really cute. I would easily go back! Just a heads up, it's in a stripmall that looks a bit sketchy, but it's a cute place inside. Read more

Im honestly very impressed with the food! Definitely 11/10! The pupusa was so rich in flavor and loved the taste of the beans on... my revuelta. Non greasy. The pork was just so tender and yummy! This was some super dope Salvadoran food! My current and I ordered the Plato Tipico and the Carne Adobada. The Plato Tipico was... my personal favorite. It was an assortment of Salvadoran appetizers - pupusa, yucca, plantains, and chicharoon. The CarneAdobada plate was also really good. Super flavorful but the meat was overcooked and dry. The sauce helped soften the meat abit. The food was a bit pricey but if I'm feeling something special, I'm definitely coming back again. Read more
This place has really good pupusas. They were crunchy on the outside (where appropriate) and firm but soft enough to cut with a... fork. The cabbage mix and the sauce you put on top just make it even more incredible. And these are pretty good sized pupusas.Mine was pulled pork, beans and cheese and it was sooooo good. The staff were all really polite and friendly. Our vaccinationrecords were checked before we went inside the restaurant and thankfully they accepted my digital version because I forgot mypaper record at home. If it honestly weren't so far away from where I live, I'd be here much more often. Read more
Wow what a great find. Food was full of flavor in every bite. The pork was melt in your mouth soft. I had the Carne Adobada and... I?d recommend it to anyone coming to try this place. The parking situation is not ideal so I?d be sure to look for streetparking. Read more
