Delicious breakfast burrito with carnitas. I just wish this place had better hours. Had to update my review. I've been trying... to return to this location and it's schedule makes it impossible. I am not sure if the restaurant 5:55 shares a space inside with Flaco. But I ordered from Flaco. and was not disappointed! ... Everyone in my party loved their meals, I am vegan and to continue my review for the other vegans: there two main entréeoptions for us, a cauliflower or a potato filling for a burrito or taco. The sides (rice, beans, guac, cheese) were also veganas well as their creamy sauces and horchata! The cauliflower was an explosion of flavor and roasted so well, I highlyrecommend! The tacos are delicious and the guac is fresh. I wish I was hungrier and got the plate but the two tacos I did try were... delicious. I recommend the purple potato and rosemary taco. It was amazing. The pictures of their breakfast burritos look justas tasty. And they're served all day! And if you love garlic the garlic candy is worth a try. Seating is limited and the againfrescas are sugary...but it's worth coming back again and again. Read more
First time @Flaco. Very personable staff great outdoor chill vibe. Had the 3 Taco plate with chips/salsa/guac. Each taco was... Carnitas, Potatoe, and spicy cauliflower all were delicious. My vegan brother had 2 potato, 1 cauliflower. We both recommend thehorchata. Great spot I'd definitely spend a relaxing Saturday lunch here again. Read more
I always gobble up my tacos too fast to remember to take any photos. Their potato tacos are so tasty and such a good vegan... option! My husband loves their carnitas tacos and comes by for lunch without me pretty frequently (which is RUDE if anyone iswondering but we're working through it). On top of good food, everyone who works here is SUPER sweet. Love Flaco so much! Read more
INEDIBLE. These carnitas are so overly salted they literally cannot be eaten. No interesting flavors or seasonings besides SALT.... The worst seasoned carnitas I've ever had. These tacos had zero redeeming qualities. Such a shame for LA. I never write badreviews and want to give small businesses the benefit of the doubt but these are garbage. Read more
My fave place to eat in the neighborhood. Always fresh and delicious tasting. I?ve never had garlic candy until Flaco. & the... Tinga tacos with the guac sauce and cheese they use is to die for. The plates are always presented so pretty too. Plus, this isthe only Mexican food place I can eat that doesn?t give me a stomach ache. They must use clean quality ingredients.
