If you?re anything like me and haven?t been here in a while is time to come back. It had been years since I?ve been here but the... food is as delicious as when I used to come in the 90s. The Hollenbeck burrito (mini) still amazing topped with not just salsabut chunks of pork, or your choice of meat? the dinner plates are also great. The Chile Relleno platter is delicious served withrice beans smothered in cheese and choice of corn or flour tortillas. All this under $25 for two, a true bargain in today?seconomy. Read more

Mother?s Day ritual. Huevos Rancheros and The Original Hollenbeck are always on the check. Nothing short of delicious. Capacity... is low. Friendly vibe, pretty sure same people are at the counter every time I go. First time I came here was 1993, the onlything that changes is price. Not pictured, chips and salsa. Read more
One of the better Mexican restaurants in Los Angeles in my opinion. I moved here from San Diego, where I grew up, a few years... ago so it?s been really hard to find Mexican food that?s as good up here but this is one of the few restaurants that I enjoycoming to. It?s out of the way for me over in East LA in a residential neighborhood but it?s worth a stop especially when I amcoming from east into town. The burritos still don?t taste like home to me so I don?t order those but the plates are reallydelicious, the portion sizes are really generous, and the food quality is there. They also have a parking lot with about 10spaces attached next door and street parking is easier here in East LA compared to other parts of town. I would recommend anykind of Mexican food and definitely plan to be back again. Read more
Anytime I?m in East Los Angeles I eat here. They never disappoint! I ordered the Mini Hollenbeck and still couldn?t eat the... whole thing! It was so delicious.Our server, Ariel was the best! I?ve been enjoying El Tepeyac Cafe or Manuel?s as we call it named after it?s founder. I was introduced to this classic Mexican... restaurant in East Los Angeles while in high school in the 70?s. For 50 years I been bringing family and friends for it?s greatfood. Favorites are the Hollenbeck burrito and the taquitos. It?s always great to see my friend Jerry in the kitchen stillcooking this fabulous food after all these years. This is a must visit for me every time I visit LA! Read more
