Excellent (sourdough) french-style bread. Would really recommend this to anyone appreciating good bread.
I don't know if this is the best bread in LA, but I know it's very very very good bread.
I usually go to Clark Street Echo Park but wanted to check out this Central Market location. It's a small stand with a smaller,... selected pastry offering, but still has the essential items like croissants and scones. I had a monkey bread and wow I reallyliked it, especially the fine, crispy layers are surprisingly good. I also had a walnut loaf. The taste is pretty good but theportion is definitely on the smaller side. Read more
The Country bread was great, the Almond pastry was great, but...when I called the number listed by google, I found out when I... arrived at the DTLA location that the phone number is for a different location. They didn't mention that when I called, or evenask which location I was calling about, so the DTLA location didn't have the Raisin Walnut bread, or the Banana bread, or theChibatta bread that I asked about. The prices are a bit expensive, but they're legit for the quality of the products, so don'texpect grocery store white bread prices or Dunkin' Donuts processed pastries. The almond pastry costs like $4, but afterwarming it in my convection oven was worth every penny. Read more

This location is so much better than the echo park location. The staff here are kind and helpful. They don?t have the hostile... attitude of the echo park location. Read more
