Worst experience ever servers don?t care about service because they included 18% gratuity. The server took 30 minutes to take... our drink order and another 20 minutes to bring us our drinks. She did not deserve anything my girlfriend ordered cáptese saladand they brought Smoke salmon. Worst service ever never come back to this place!! I managed a restaurant if one of my serverswould provide this type of service I would apologize to the customers. We asked for the split check but the server said thatmanager doesn?t allow splits. This is ridiculous because on any POS system you can split checks, either server is too lazy toask the manager or the manager doesn?t care at all. Cicada is my favorite place, the ambiance is amazing. Been coming here for years. This last visit was a little unsettling due to... some people getting too silly on dance floor. Man lifting a lady in the air! With her legs kicking around. Behave yourself. Read more

It took 2 1/2 hours to get our first course and another hour to get our dinner. The excuse was they had more people than... expected, even though you have to purchase dinner in advance and they knew exactly how many people were going to be there. Wehad to ask for bread, after sitting there for an hour, otherwise we may have never gotten it. Our dishes and glasses weren'tcleared. The waiter would stop by to apologize, then leave without clearing the table. We spotted them sitting down talking toeach other, instead of doing their job. And gratuity has to be prepaid. The food was average. I've had better meals for $25, butthis meal cost $100. The owner said he would give our party of 8 a whopping $100 credit, but the waiter only took off $79. So,after having to ask the waiter to clear the plates that have sitting there for half an hour, I now have to tell them thediscount he gave us was incorrect. It's unfortunate because I would love to go back for the music and the ambiance, but this wasthe worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant in my life. Cicada is beautiful and the show was fabulous. I just wish theywould get their s..t together and not charge so much for a mediocre meal at an outrageous price that takes hours to serve. Read more
Amazing venue with an amazing atmosphere! If you want to go back in time to old Hollywood this is your place! Just went for... the show and not dinner, but make sure to get there on time. We arrived late thinking they would be playing till 1AM, but theywere done by 11PM. Right around the corner is Clifton's Republic bar that you can take the party to after! Read more

A beautiful and historic venue for a three course meal with big band entertainment and dancing. The service was excellent and... the food was amazing! A bit pricey, but worth it for a special evening. Read more
Great historic location. Wonderful food and good service. Amazing live band for dancing. A must visit for everyone.
