Reviews for Chang Hwa Dang LA(CHD) in Los Angeles, CA
Me and my friend was really looking forward to this restaurant. We ordered, Seasonal ice cold kimchi noodle, mandu sampler set... and ddukboki. The presentation looked nice but taste were too basic. Food that you can taste from frozen/refrigerated marketproduct. Dduckboki was to watery and tasted little sour? Almost taste like cho gochujang (sour gochujang) It was just okay.Would not go back again. Also, the servers were friendly but were not attentive; Never checked upon us. Read more
I got the kimchi fried rice and mixed mandu(dumplings) at my lunch break. Food came very quick and the server is friendly. Mixed... mandu is a great choice if you are first coming by here and don?t know which one is your favorite type of mandu(veggie or meat, seafood ..) The kimchi friend rice is also very tasty! This place looks really cool and trendy in pictures but in reality? it?s pretty sad. I really wanted to like this place because... when I saw it in Korea, I wanted to try it. You can tell the owners don?t really care about how the restaurant is run. The foodlooks really nice and pretty? but it tastes really? blegh nothing stood out about the dumplings? and the dukbokki was not thatgood either, they put all these filler ingredients like the fried noodle thing on top of it. All in all the experience wasreally disappointing. Would definitely not come back again Read more

The foods are great! I fall in love with the cold kimchi noodle. Good job and thanks for surviving through the critical virus... period. It must was a really deadly moment for the new opened restaurant. Read more
Loved this place!! I really enjoyed the metal dishware plus the general aesthetic of the resturant. The portion sizes are huge... for the price. The ?? (jjolmyeon/spicy cold noodles) were super flavorful with just the right amount of spice. I would recommendeating as much as possible when it is fresh because the noodles don't taste anywhere as good when reheated later. Make sure toask for scissor to cut the noodles. Read more
