We had a really tough time finding a space for our wedding reception. The minute we walked into Candela La Brea, we knew it was... the place for us. Aside from Candela?s modern look, it was already equipped with a bumping sound system, great lighting,projectors, tables, and really great furniture. We worked with Omar, Maria, Fabiola, and several members of the Candela team.Everyone was so great and accommodating from beginning to end. There were a lot of details to get through and a lot of back andforth for so many things and Omar and the crew made the whole process so smooth for us. We had to postpone our wedding and Omarand Candela worked with us to switch our date without a glitch, which was truly appreciated. We wanted our wedding celebrationto be a PARTY, and Candela ended up being everything we wanted and more. We had about 165 guests and everyone fit perfectly,with a huge dance floor right in the middle. Our guests raved about Candela?s food, drinks, sound system, and how beautiful thevenue looked. We rented out the front space for our cocktail hour and our guests moved into the main room for the rest of thenight. We will always remember walking into Candela on the day of our wedding and seeing how beautiful everything looked fromour vision finally coming together. We are so grateful to Omar, Maria, and everyone at Candela for being one of the big reasonsthat made our wedding day so memorable and special. Read more
Seems to be a bit of a secret for a good place to watch the games on Sunday. Drove by a million times then I was walking by on... a Sunday, saw the sign and balloons so went in after my Walk. Surprised to find only like 4 other guys, lots of space, 3different games on giant 15 foot screens even a dj for the commercials ???? Read more
we loved candela?s and went weekly. we always used the valet as well. during one visit, the valet got into an accident while... moving our car. when our insurance reached out, the restaurant went ghost and stopped picking up the phone, not claimingresponsibility for their valet. when we reached out to the valet, we found out their insurance lapsed in february of 2022. theyhave also stopped picking up the phone. be careful at candela and don?t use the valet. they aren?t responsible or customer firstand we will be reporting both businesses to the city. Candela La Brea is hands-down the best venue I have ever worked with in my time as a professional Event Director. Omar and his... team are among the best in this business because they truly care and want your event to be successful. They are a literal dreamto work with. They offer a beautiful space that can be transformed into just about anything with state-of-the-art A/V systemsand screen projections. They are able to offer many things in-house that you would otherwise have to find with outside vendors.Their kitchen is top-notch and the bartenders know how to make your guests happy. They are flexible and easy to work with fromthe first moment you meet them. On top of all that, their prices are reasonable and the quality you get back is worth what youpay. Everything was delicious!!! They have amazing drinks and if you don't like alcohol try the piña colada it looks like a... smoothie. Every employee there are polite and respectful. I really recommend it!!!! Read more
We worked with Omar and his team to host our 10 Year High School Reunion and it was the most amazing event! It's a popular event... space, so be sure to secure it in advance (we were lucky enough to secure it with only 4 months lead time). We had about 160attendees and the half room worked perfectly - there was more than enough space for people to eat, move around, dance, getdrinks at the bar, and just stand around and talk without it feeling crowded. We opted for the taco buffet and it tasted great.Omar and team were so accommodating and worked with all of my crazy requests, as well as with all of the third party vendors wehired (photobooth, casino tables, etc). This place is huge. Rare to find such large drink spot, especially wine bar. You wouldn't know it from the outside because it's... just in a strip of other restaurants and below Equinox. You have to walk downstairs and it's pretty bougie once you'reinside. First came here on a friday night and there was a DJ (wut) and some visiting MBA class from England was there partyingit up. It honestly was a great time. They have champagne flutes too. Came back for a team happy hour and was able to make areservation (only a week before). Read more
