The owner is not honest. I ordered to take out only red bean porridge with rice ball, but she didn?t tell me there are steamed... rice and little rice balls in the red bean porridge. When the steamed rice get big, the porridge become very dry and taste isterrible. I paid $33.00 for two bowl. I have to throw them away because of the steamed rice balls in the porridge. It isterrible ????. The owner should have told me that. Read more

FYI they moved locations to the food court in California Market! Address: 450 S Western Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90020 This location... is definitely an upgrade from their previous location since parking is free and plentiful now. For those who don't know, juk isKorean porridge and is a staple in every Korean's life. My mom would always give me juk when I was sick and not feeling well.Bonjuk takes that home-made taste and elevates it to another level. So far, I've tried their Samge (chicken) juk as well astheir Seafood Combo juk. Samge juk (10/10): Samge juk is very hearty and soul warming. It comes with a lot of chicken and hugeportions. This one is definitely my go-to and would recommend. Seafood Combo (9/10): If you're more into seafood, I wouldrecommend getting the Seafood Combo. When I eat this, it feels like I've been transported to a seaside village in Busan. The jukdoesn't taste or smell fishy at all and has a very clean taste. Read more

I ordered the ??? (Samgae Porridge), a Chicken with Oriental Ingredients, for $12.95. It has nutritions and Korean ginseng,... which is effective for the recovery from weariness and illness. Great for eating when you?re feeling under the weather. Read more

??$15 min for cards! This place is awesome! I literally fell in love. They have a lot of options! The bowl with porridge is huge... plus you?re getting side dishes. I liked my $13 Mushroom & Oyster Porridge so much that ordered a Pumpkin one to go to try (theygive you all the side dishes to go as well) Will definitely come back when I?m next time in LA. If porridge is your thing then you have to go try Bon Juk. I have been doing takeouts from here every time i want a light meal... or a heavy night of drinking. Bon Juk has a pretty wide selection of porridge but i always order the oyster mushroom. It's thebest. Prices on the other hand is a bit steep at just under $15. One complain is the $15 minimum for credit card. Taste wisethis is the best spot, feels like what my mom used to make, taste not overly salty blends perfectly with the porridge and thekimchi they include. Have never been disappointed. Read more

We were craving some savory porridge and this was the place to be. A restaurant dedicated to juk. Great for cold or sick days.... But I could go for this any day. I ordered the tuna vegetable option and it was extremely tasty. The side pickles are delicious. We kept asking for more kimchi. Good portion size, but I know my male comrade was still hungry by the end. A healthy lunch, indeed. Read more
