We went there really late after a concert and we were starving. They were friendly and helpful. The chicken tenders were... flavorful juicy with a crispy batter. Stopped by this cute little shop and got the avocado toast and some doughnuts. The avocado toast was actually so good, and the... bread was perfect. I also tried the pistachio and strawberry donuts, which were amazing. Definitely recommend this place. Small shop in LA where people gather for mouth-watering and affordable chicken sandwiches. The original burger they offered had... such a generous portion of fried chicken between the brioche buns. The sandwich contained cheese, coleslaw, pickles, and a goodamount of sauce to pair all of the ingredients together. It'll be messy eating, but that's how you know it'll be a deliciousmeal. Still not enough for you? Add on a side of fries that has a big enough portion that puts fast food restaurants to shame.Now, burgers and fries isn't the only reason this place is so popular. They also offer a nice selection of donuts that you canadmire as you're heading further into the shop. I got my hands on a pistachio lemon thyme donut. At first I doubted I was goingto be able to finish a donut after all that chicken and fries. However, my first bite into that soft donut left me surprised andastonished. Not only was the donut soft, the flavoring wasn't too powerful. Wow I was not expecting Birdies to be so great! As soon as we walked in, the staff greeted us and helped us decide what we... wanted to eat. They were super friendly and patient. We ended up with a couple of chicken sandwiches and a half dozen donuts.The spicy sandwich was surprisingly spicy (in a very good way) and the breakfast sandwich was also nice and cheesy anddelicious. Their fantastic chicken sandwich features the juiciest and plumpest fried chicken I've ever had. Their breakfast sandwich is... killer too, try that with the chicken only if you are REALLY ravenous. Their fries are crispy and delicious, with or withoutsauce (they come with ketchup only so ask for any other sauce you'd like for a small charge). This place also features gourmetdonuts ($3-$4 per) and EXTREMELY nice staff. Very minimal seating so I'd suggest doing takeout. Totally worth it! Read more
