Reviews for Big Boi in Los Angeles, CA
Some solid Filipino offerings. Stopped by here on our way through LA. If I had more time and space in my stomach, I would have... definitely tried a lot more because they had some really good looking stuff on their menu. The tocino and longanisa were verytasty and nostalgic. The pancit was just okay imo, and I probably would just stick to rice next time. It's hard to live up to myLola's I guess :P. The pandesal was a nice inclusion, but nothing to write home about. The pickles however were real good, andwas a nice contrast to the savory garlicky flavor of the rest of my food. Overall I was very pleased and would definitely stophere again. Some of the better quick order Filipino food I've had in Socal, but not the best. Read more
This place is AMAZING!!! My partner are I are visiting from out of town and we?ve already ordered twice from them in the same... week! Everything has been delicious but the standouts are the chicken + gravy (weekend special), lechon, sisig, and pickles. Ilove the variety of vegetables in the pancit too! The prices are so reasonable it?s honestly a steal. The big combo is enoughfor two solid meals at $15. I highly recommend this spot?I?m just sad I can?t have it again once I leave! Read more
Awesome Filipino restaurant & im definitely coming back in the future! On this beautiful hot day, I got some calamansi juice to... cool me off & I ordered the Sisig with garlic fried rice. By far one of the best Sisig I?ve ever had, a different take on itbut still has the taste of solid Sisig! The garlic rice is a must have and the pandesal on the side is gold! Shoutout to theexcellent customer service too! I highly recommend checking this spot out & can?t wait to taste their other offerings! Read more

I have no words? Best Filipino food in town????. Our family tried the sides pork tocino, longaniza, and the pork sisig. Which... were all so yummy! The garlic rice is honestly the way to go, don?t go for basic rice. The two order of lumpias were incredibleand when reheated in the air fryer the next day are even more crispier! My wife got the spaghetti and stated she loved it butwished there were a few more pieces of the sausage. Don?t go for soft drinks here because everyone should try with their orderthe Calamansi juice which is a perfect taste of lemonade but slightly sweeter. Advice ?? Overall our purchase for two bigplates, one small plate, 2 sides of lumpias, a side of spaghetti, and 3 drinks was a little over $100. Next time we plan on justgoing for the family meal since you get a bit more than buying everything separately! :) Read more

My friend and I visited this place while in LA and we were not disappointed. We got the whole fried chicken and gravy it was... not as juicy but it was still very flavourful. I also got the chicken adobo which was my favorite! It was flavorful & I also gotgarlic rice not a strong garlic flavor but there was a spicy garlic sauce with real toasted garlic which made it the best I'veever had I wish this place was in here in Atlanta Read more
Alabama native, LA local. I was introduced to Filipino food in Sacramento by my former partner and her family. I?ve been craving... authentic dishes but didn?t know where to go- until today. I wanted pancit, lumpia and Halo Halo- enter Big Boi and BSweet! The self serve menu at the entrance of Big Boy was incredibly easy to navigate and order from. I received my texttelling me my meal was ready right after receiving my Halo Halo and ube bread pudding from B Sweet, which is convenientlylocated a few doors down. I ordered the big combo with pork sisig, longanisa and all pancit. I also ordered fried chicken withgravy and lumpia. Everything was umami and I don?t feel tired after sampling everything. It?s hard to pick my favorite, everything is very well seasoned and juicy. I?m very impressed with how fresh everything tasted and I look forward to discussingthis experience with my Filipino coworkers who all told me I had to go to Carson to get good Filipino food. Thank you forbringing me to a part of town I haven?t explored yet and for providing quality, affordable Filipino staples. I will definitelybe back! Read more
