I was SO excited to try this place. Crust was so hard that it wasn?t enjoyable. Your mouth will definitely hate you after... eating the Detroit style. It reminded me of a VERY hard and old Focaccia. There is a lot of holes in the pizza crust so itwasn?t very doughy or soft at all. And it?s expensive so that was a let down. $8.00 for a square. I also wasn?t a fan of theregular slices. It was at least edible and soft so that was a plus. Sauce tastes a little sour and it?s a little on the saltyside for pizza. I?m from Chicago and was really hoping this would be the spot to kick my pizza cravings. Gonna keep looking.Over all I probably won?t come back if this is how the pizza usually is. 4.2/5 Now I don't base my scores off of Papa John's or Lil Caesars. Only the greats. This I liked a lot! I damn near loved... this pizza. Sauce is an easy 4/5. Was a bit of flop just a bit though. Easily some of the best pizza I?ve had! Being an east-coaster, I did not have high hopes initially. I haven?t had genuinely good... NY style pizza anywhere except NY, NJ, and PA. But this cheese slice has changed my whole perspective lol soooo good! Perfectlycrunchy, thin, yet chewy dough. The sauce seems homemade. It?s full of flavor and the gooey cheese is so yummy! I had a square?gourmet? slice as well and was so good. I had to keep myself from going right back in and buying more ???? I?ll definitely beback! I really wanted to like this pizza. I spent almost $50 on a pizza with six slices, that was so salty and garlicky I could barely... choke down one slice (scraping off a lot of garlic). I threw the rest away ?? Now I'm someone that definitely likes garlic, andI usually multiply the garlic in a recipe by 2-3x. Garlic on pizza is fantastic when it's whole roasted cloves, or freshlypressed. Unfortunately, this pizza appeared to have an entire jar of harsh commercially minced garlic just dumped on top of it.I'm not kidding, like a very large jar. Every slice had a giant covering of tell-tale jarred minced garlic smothered on it. Itwas also extremely oily and because they use salted hard cheese on the "real deal" plus salted pepperoni plus salted Parmesanplus salt sprinkled on top, it's so salty as to be inedible. The square pizza is also mostly cheese, with just a sad, soggy,thin layer of bread at the bottom of the ensemble with no satisfying thickness to bite through like you'd hope on a panpizza. The pictures are decieving. It's not good! The basil on top and neon signs in the store are the only reason I gave ittwo stars. The place itself as others have mentioned is not an eat-in place, it's just a takeout counter. The neon is cool!Takeout only would be fine by me if it was good! But definitely skip this place.
