fabulous food (and great value) - a neighbourhood favorite.
Hey we came to get some food before our plans. It would've been nice to read on their website or their voice-mail that the place... would be closed from Nov 2-9th and not waste time and gas getting here. We hope to come at a later date and actually try thefood but for now the paper sign on their door definitely not a fun way to find out it's closed when it's cold and rainy. Read more
The restaurant charges for cancellations, and for a party of four, it was $60. We called just an hour or so after making the... reservation, realizing the time didn't work for us. They wouldn't let us move our reservation even 15 minutes back that night,so we had to cancel, and they wouldn't waive the fee. We did get a credit for the amount to use within 30 days. When we tried touse the credit for takeout, we were told that in order to use the credit we had to dine in. Complete robbery. Read more
Nice ambiance and wide wine selection; great for date night! The chicken liver crostone was a highlight, really well-balanced... with the rhubarb jam! Scallop crudo was just ok — the ponzu was deliciously acidic but the almonds weren’t a great combo;scallops could also be served cooler (warmed to room temp really quick). The radiatori was simple but delicious with yummy porksugo. The fusilli was decent — clams were good, as was the smoked butter sauce (though as butter lovers, we could only eat somuch of it). It's one of my absolute favorite restaurants. I've been coming here for years & the quality is always top tier. The Masa Gnocco... Fritto is mouth wateringly good. I could bathe in the truffle honey butter on it - it's so good. The liver crostone is alwaysworth getting, and you can not go wrong with any of the pastas. Read more
