4.5 stars but rounded up. Love the vibe, the food, the vibe? ;) great date place. Outdoor area is cool too. I got the spicy pork... tonkatsu ramen and we shared a dumpling for the table. Would def come back here, no hesitation. Parking can be tricky but it?sLA, that comes w the territory. Read more

This was a really cool ramen shop. You could order via QR codes or have someone take your order. We went here to get dinner... before an art show and it was easy to get parking right down the street. The food itself was pretty good and the ramen was justthe way I liked it. They also have a good amount of Japanese whisky at the bar if you're into that. Read more

I spend a lot of time getting ramen on the west side, but this place is absolutely delicious. The tonkatsu soup was very rich... and nothing like the ramen I?ve had before. I also got the spicy tsukemen(not pictured because I devoured it) which was aperfect balance of spice, flavor, and numbness. On top of the delicious food, the staff was very very friendly. We happened togo on a night where was unusually busy, but everyone was super helpful and constantly updated us on any delays. Woulddefinitely go here again! Read more

I came here for dinner when it first opened and we were a big group. You have to wait to be seated and one of the staff will... bring you to a screen to place your order. Once you pay, you?ll be given a wooden stick with a number on it and a wait staffwill bring your food and drinks. Wait time for food was around 10-20 minutes. Considering we were a big group of 12 people, theservice was fast. Staff here were also super friendly. I highly recommend the yuzu ratan ramen, it?s a little spicy butdefinitely worth a try. The dumplings here are also amazing. Also tried the cocktails here, they tasted great but nothing toomemorable. You come here for ramen and not for the drinks. Read more

It?s not bad, but not the best around this area. Food was very quick. Ramen was okay - noodle was cooked perfectly but broth... and topping was not impressive. I?m not sure adding yuzu flavor on ramen. It was sour, which I don?t like. But I guess somepeople would like it. karaage and seaweed salad was good too. They will charge you 13% service charge. Still think Afuri is a good addition to the Arts district, I'm not a big fan of yuzu usually, but the yuzu ramen there was... pleasantly good! My go-to is the Yuzu-tsyua tsukemen (dipping noodles) and yuzu ratan (spicy chicken broth). Yuzu shio (clearchicken broth) is also good when you're craving something not heavy. I feel like it's good to have it when you're under theweather. In fact, yuzu shio is one of their signature dishes, the chicken broth is very aromatic, light, and delicious. Thein-house handcrafted noodles are something that I really enjoy too. Chashu is also on point, tender and flavorful. But I do wishthey could give more slices, there is only one slice in each bowl. If you like gyoza (dumplings), would recommend trying outtheir spicy gyoza soup. (Yeah dumplings in the soup) Karaage was succulent and good with beer. However, Ninniku shoyu isprobably our least favorite. Basically "shoyu= soy sauce", we found their shoyu ramen was on the saltier side. Overall, authentic yuzu ramen place! Order is easy, there are 2 kiosks at the entrance. First come, first serve. Also, they do happy houreveryday from 3pm-6pm! Enjoy. Read more

Ramen was good, but wasn?t amazing. The noodles were great, and the broth is good, depending on whether you like yuzu or not in... your ramen. I think the shio ramen had a much stronger yuzu taste than the tsukemen (dipping ramen). Karaage tasted good butdefinitely not worth the price. Pretty mediocre for $2 a piece. Ebi (shrimp) spring roll was extremely greasy and again quiteunderwhelming. I think for the price and expectations, the experience was underwhelming. Service was fast, but none of thewaiters ever checked up on our table. Water is self service. Street parking in arts district isn?t so great. I think it?s worthtrying the yuzu ramen once, but I don?t think I?ll be back again. Read more

This location exemplifies why restaurant week is a necessity- it creates repeat customers through an invitation to try new... cuisines. I had the Yuzu ramen which I believe is their signature. The yuzu citrus flavors came out delicately and paired nicelywith the sesame oil and pork. The Tantan was delightful to look at and had a wonferful blend of flavors. While a savory dish, noingredient was too overpowering- especially the ginger! Our appetizers consisted of tori carrage and crispy gyoza! Both weredelicious, especially their yuzu egg salad. Overall, this place was a delight for lunch. The asthetic is also beautiful. Matthewprovided some great service! Read more
