Lady M Cakes; M is for Mold I am so disappointed; I really need to share my experience! For years, I often enjoyed a LadyM cake... whenever I went to NY. I was very excited when they finally opened boutiques in the bay area. I had a birthday party lastWednesday night. My friends bought me a LadyM cake because I requested it. Guess what? As we were eating a slice, my son foundthe mold at the bottom of the cake! Because it was already late at night already, I called the los altos location the nextmorning and asked them if I should bring it back for an exchange. Instead, they told me to email the customer service. Despitenot being a great way to resolve the issue, I followed their guidance. Obviously the preference would be to bring them thephysical product which would allow them to determine what went wrong. In the email, I included all the pertinent information:location, name of my friend, my name, time of the purchase, etc. Of course, I also included a picture of the mold as well as thebox, clearly showing all the relevant information. (See both pictures) They kept going back and asking me to resend the lot boxpicture (which I already did), for clarity, I asked them to show me a picture of what they are talking about. Then they changedtheir question and asked me to get the last 4 digits of the credit card that my friend used! Obviously I didn't want to ask thiskind of personal information or embarrass my friend! This was a gift, it's not my friend's fault! I told them I don't even wanta refund for my friend, all I wanted was for them to send me a new cake without the mold! They refused. They said they won'thelp me if I can't get the credit card information. So I replied and asked them to have a manager call me today. They replied:Yes, and someone would be contacting me yesterday. My husband bought a pistachio cake for our anniversary, but when we opened it, it was a passion fruit cake. Even worse was the... cake is spoiled, I can only taste sour. I checked the cream, it smelled stinky. So I called their customer service, they told methey can refund for the mistake package but not for the spoiled cake. They denied it of course. Classic crepe cake was astonishing. Definitely the best I've ever had. We've also tried chocolate and passionfruit crepe cakes... but the plane classic one was truly next level. Read more

Delicious and light cakes. Quite pricey though, at around $10 a slice, but I definitely recommend trying them at least... once. This location is quite empty most of the time, but they do seem to run out of the less common flavours pretty quickly.Come early if you want to have a slice of your favorite cake! Read more

Omg. I am very mad at myself that I didn't know about this place, and the Madam M Cake Botique in San Francisco Bay Area. These... Mille Crepe invention is amazing. Pistachio was my favorite. The flowerless chocolate case is amazing too. Also, try Madam M'sAmericano as well. The espresso is made in heaven. Thank you and please stay and do not go anywhere. I ordered the Fall Favorites for my son's birthday who is away in college. The cost is USD133 including $25 delivery fee. The... cakes didn't arrive on time, it arrived late at night the next day. My poor son was waiting and waiting for the cake on hisbirthday that never arrived. Not only was it late, the condition of the cakes looked horrible, nothing like the pictures forsure, they were mushed and not very appetizing, you can see from the picture. I tried to call their hotline, waited and waitedjust to be cut off with no sound each time. Tried emailing them, just to get automated response only. I will never order fromthem again. Lady M crepe cakes are delicious and unique. The flavors are never too deep, they are varied, but and almost without fail are... delicious. If you can't make up your mind, go for the green tea! A close runner up is the Truffle Mille. They might seem a bitexpensive, 9 inches for $95, but surely the effort that goes into making the cake needs to be honored. Service at Lady M can bepatchy.
