Esther's has weathered the pandemic & feels comfortable, like an old friend. BUT there are changes, freshened up sofas and new... paint, very nice. Edit: after Alex?s comment we decided to come for breakfast for a second time. The food was delicious, and, as we were the only... customers, the service was quick. Thank you! As a small comment to Alex considering last time: I am not sure what caused themiscommunication, but I explicitly checked if there was a pause in serving new customers, or any denied customers, and therewere none, so your information seems untrue. That was a very bad experience. The waitress-manager barely speaks English, didnot bring us our order for more than 50 minutes. She messed up the dishes and tried to persuade us that the veggie omelette shebrought was the salmon omelette we ordered. The only response she had for the delay and the mistake was: ?It?s not my fault,can?t you see how busy we are?, even if they did specifically mess up our order and did serve several of the following customersin the meantime. No-frills, old timey, breakfast place with a very strong, German, dark coffee! The space is tiny, but they do have a backyard... patio, and indoor dining is permitted. A small "market" filled with mustards, pastas, and goods that you can stock your kitchenwith. Stop in for German breakfast and coffee to start your day. Read more
Wurst and pommes were good, however they don?t have many kinds of bread. Also they forgot our coffee so we had to go back and... ask for it. And they forgot again to give us milk. Apfelkuchen was very disappointing. It didn?t use real apples .. i thinkthey used some kind of creme. Read more

Great place for coffee & a pastry or a full brunch! We wanted to try a sweet option and a savory option, so we shared the German... pancake and the potatoes/bratwurst topped with eggs. Both were delicious!
