Reviews for Los Victor's Mexican Food California Style#4 in Lordsburg, NM
The food here is great. I had a taco Al pastor and one carnitas, and both were very good. They are Mexican street style, with... small corn tortillas. The horchata is really good but I wish it came in a smaller size. The cashier didn't speak English but Iwas able to get by with my meagre Spanish skills. He seemed pretty inexperienced. The restaurant itself was run down with atable missing (just a pole attached to the floor was sticking up) and nobody had come by to wipe the tables or clear them. Theredidn't seem to be enough chairs for the number of tables. There were no drinking straws, no paper towels in the bathroom. Don'tcome here for the ambiance, haha. It's roughly managed, and I say that as someone who enjoys dive restaurants. Food is goodthough. Read more
California food with California prices. Seems I was out near 18 bucks for a lot of refried beans , rice and a pinch of lettuce.... The salsa is not the New Mex I was expecting. I was out at around 18 bucks on it but only able to cram about three dollars worthin . Somewhere between Lordsburg and Deming in the middle of I-10 lies a foam container filled with dried up beans and rice. Ifyou run over it I am not responsible for damage on your car or injury thereof. Read more
This is by far the worst food I have ever paid for. I'm kind of impressed. As soon as I walked in I was hit by a wall of smoke... dimming the air inside the dining area. The building's A/C (and apparently the kitchen flowhood) does not work so there is asplit unit inside pouring leaking condensate into a bucket beside one of the dining tables. Dude taking the order uses the cashregister as a calculator, runs your card on his phone, and then literally keeps tabs on a hand scrawled spiral notebook besidethe counter. I get it. Struggle is struggle. But this isn't even trying. The area doesn't have a lot going for it, but as alocal you shouldn't even be serving this to your own neighbors. I eat trash but I couldn't finish this al pastor burrito. Otherreviews are right; how can you even make something so salty? Read more
This is the nastiest restaurant I've ever seen in my life. Sticky fly strips hanging everywhere. Piles of dead flies on the... window sills. Floor was covered in dead flies and crickets. They had one person running the register that didn't speak a lickof English. Let alone didn't know how to run register. After 10 minutes he got us rung up and ran my card on a phone. He swipedmy card through a phone! Then, he realized he forgot my drink and the process started all over again. Once again, he couldn'toperate the machine and he called someone. At that point, I accessed my pending bank statement and showed him (while he was onthe phone) that I want a refund. Whoever was on the phone with him must have heard me. He instantly gave a thumbs up that we'regood and the order is going in. I then proceeded to grab a cup and use the fountain drink machine. He said "No" and gestured togive him my cup. I did. He went around the corner and brought me a filled cup of Coke. I looked for lids and there werenone. My wife and I sat down to wait for our order that we no longer wanted and were forced to pay for. We sat for a coupleminutes and I couldn't keep flies out of my open drink. We walked out and wiped our butts with $16.40. Hard earned money takenfrom illegal immigrants! This place is disgusting and should be shut down. Google should not allow 1 star reviews. Read more
We stopped here going home to Texas. Food not good to salty. Can beans, caned enchilada sauce. The Huevos Ranchero were dry and... the eggs were over cooked. Just don't eat here. It's to expensive for such bad food. Read more
Alright, so this place was new for me as I haven't been to Lordsburg, NM in quite some time. The food was alright, but nothing... I'd jump for joy about as more lettuce than meat in my Chicken taco. The shell though was cooked wonderfully so I was happy withthat! I found where the sauces (Green and Red) were concerned, combining both gave a close to medium heat. I like hot so for meit didn't even bug my tongue. They did fire roast a Jalapeno for me and that was helpful and appreciated. To each their own asthere is no salsa bar so you get two containers of each kind. I ordered the combo and you'll see that in the photos. I alsotook photos of the backboard menu as I couldn't find any good photos on Google. Hopefully that will help. Breakfast is servedall day so you are plenty good there! As a whole I tried to just take some photos to let you know what to expect. This isn't abad place, but they could take the KFC/Taco Bell stickers off the entry doors. Read more
Throughout my years of driving through here, I've always stopped by the Circle K, used to be a Valero/Diamond Shamrock, that's... next to this to gas up and then would go get a quick bite at the nearby McDonald's, however this time decided to finally get abreakfast burrito at this place. Support local and all. The location itself is a bit run down and could use some updating, likepaint, landscaping, etc. to have a better appeal. The breakfast burritos are big enough that you will be quite full, however abit salty. The coffee is just cheap diner type coffee, the one at Circle K may actually be better. The experience with breakfastthough, doesn't make me want to try lunch/dinner. Bottom line if you want something other than McDonald's I'd say try it andyou will realize that you should have just stuck it out with the big fast food chain. Now the fact that this is the #4 locationmust mean they do okay overall and perhaps the other locations are better, but this one is a pass for me. Read more
Got a Carne Asada burrito. It was a big burrito with a lot of flavor. The price was good. I highly recommend????
