Reviews for Roost in Longview, TX
Our first visit to the Roost was for breakfast. Hubby had the full breakfast, eggs, sausage, potatoes and pancakes and said it... was great. I opted to try a trio of chicken salads and was not disappointed. The scoops were very generous and I brought halfhome with me. I also purchased two of the take and bake casseroles, King Ranch Chicken and Chicken Spaghetti and a little tastebefore they went in the freezer says they will be great. I hope the Chicken Alfredo is available on my next visit. Read more
Got breakfast there earlier today and it was ok. The lady that took my order looked at me weird when I told her I wanted water... for my drank. I asked asked her what was the look for she replied " cause no one never ask for water to drink. I told her thatI'm not like everyone else and that if there some mimosas then I probably would have ordered one of those (being sarcastic). Iordered my bacon to be cooked well-done and when I got my breakfast it wasn't nor was my food hot. Read more
Love me some Roost breakfast. I've eaten here three times now. The breakfast always tastes fresh. The pancakes in particular are... really good. Sausage is pretty good. My wife likes the muffins. Can't care much for the eggs, but then again I don't know anyrestaurant that knocks it out of the park on scrambled eggs. The people are really friendly, though, and that also helps keep mecoming back. Read more
All I can say is YUM!! Prices were not bad on certain things. BLT was only 5.99. 6 slices of Nutella Banana French toast was... 9.99. Avocado toast was so tasty. Definitely need to check this place out. The only downfall is no alcohol and not a ton ofseating, but that?s ok bc the food is good enough to keep coming back! Read more
Ordered the breakfast burrito, when delivered I said that?s a taco and the server said it was pretty small, then call it a... breakfast taco. I have a Eastman card for 10% off I tried to use it this weekend and the cashier said it?s only good onweekdays, ask when that happened she just stared in to space or she was stroking out not sure which one? Will I be back soon No,maybe in 6th months when i forget that are calling a taco a burrito. Read more

This is a great place for breakfast! The employees are all kind and very helpful. They have a large selection on their... breakfast menu. I got the French toast with eggs and seasoned potatoes and I chose sausage as my protein. The portions werehuge, I took home half of my food because I was so full. My husband got the same thing as me only he got the pancake stack. Thepancakes are huge. Honestly I never would have thought of going to a restaurant named Roost to eat breakfast, but I'm so glad wedid. The entire restaurant was very clean, including the restrooms. There wasn't a single thing I would change. I wish there wasone closer to home, we drove 45 minutes to eat breakfast but it was so worth it. Oh and the prices were amazing! Stop by and trythem out! UPDATE 8/8/2022: We were back in town visiting for my father-in-law's 82nd birthday and dropped into Roost for lunch Monday. ... Service and attitude was still excellent from all the staff, and the food was still great. This time I tried the JALAPEÑOBACON GRILLED CHEESE sandwich and it was excellent. Not spicy, but with just a little kick from the fresh jalapeno cut up ontoit. The fruit side was perfect and very fresh. The Community iced tea they serve is just outstanding. Another greatvisit! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM 2 MONTHSAGO: Our first time eating at a Roost restaurant while in Longview visiting the in-laws. Wow, the food was outstanding, andthere is a ton on the menu we want to try out. I ate half my sandwich before I realized I should take a picture of it for thisreview. Wiped up the mess on the plate to make the pic a bit nicer...LOL This is half of "The Rooster" sandwich (brisket - ham- bacon - cheddar - jalapeño - fried egg - avocado - BBQ sauce - served on a grilled jalapeño cheddar roll), and the pic doesnot do it justice. The portions are extremely generous and this sandwich was huge. For all who might have trouble dragging theCro-Magnon Man half to a restaurant that advertises chicken salad sandwiches and salads, do not worry. There are plenty ofmanly sandwich choices for all appetites, plus the salad choices are excellent, too. Had extremely friendly service across theboard. Area director was on-scene as they trained up new employees for the new New Braunfels location that will be opening inthe near future. We're excited, as we are from San Antonio. Going to be a hit down here, too. Highly recommended. Read more
