The food was OK the view was amazing. The 1 stat is for the bad service and prices. The service was horrible. We were 1 of three... parties there. The other 2 left before us and we still had to go inside to the bar and ask for refills and for our check and abox. They add 20% to the check automatically, which this individual did not earn. I don't understand how there could be so fewpeople and so little service. A shame really because the patio is beautiful. Also for Colorado, poor beer selection. Having eating here before and enjoying it, I was excited to bring my son and daughter in law here to dinner to celebrate their... birthdays. I have never been treated as poorly as I was from the management staff on this occasion. When asked how we wereenjoying our appetizers, we stated our dis-satisfaction with a couple of items. From that point on the night deterioratedhorribly. The assistant manager, Jessica, became very defensive and rude stating "well other people have eaten this and notcomplained" and then getting an attitude when we asked to speak with a manager. Somewhere along the line she told us we werebeing video recorded and then brought out the bouncer/chef to tell us that if we didn't like the food, maybe this place wasn'tfor us. Really???? what kind of customer service is this? Terrible food, terrible service with the exception of our server whoat least attempted to satisfy the customer, and a forced 20% gratuity on top of it all. Do yourself a favor, find someplace elseto eat!!!!!!!! If I could take stars away, I certainly would. Read more
Food is good, but I really don't like the fact that they tack in 20% to your bill for tips whether you like it or not. I... understand the concept, but it's counterintuitive as I have NEVER received good service here. And to be honest why should anyoneexpect great service here? Servers know they get a 20% tip no matter what so they really don't care, and it definitely shows! Infact as I'm writing this review we've been waiting 15 minutes just to have someone come over to tab us out! Crazy! We flaggeddown the manager and try and give him feedback about our experience and he literally says "I can't do this!" And he walks awaywith the bill! What does that even mean? Did you take care of it? Are we good? Did you comp our bill? I've never seen a mangeract this way, I'm so confused!!!... so if we aren't square, reach out to me and I'll gladly come back and pay the tab, but iassume by you taking the bill and walking away we're good??? Just like you said you "can't do this", unfortunately, I havethings to do so I can't sit around and wait another 15 minutes to have someone acknowledge us to let us know otherwise... Andlastly, we were just trying to provide feedback so you guys can improve. We like the food and we like the atmosphere, but ifyou're in the food industry you have to be able to take constructive criticism. That's how you grow and get better! Read more
It was okay - nice view, decent food, but nothing overly impressive. Service was okay, again, nothing to be impressed about. ... We went in with two families totaling 7 people and a baby and it took them quite a few moments to stop their conversation at thebar to seat us. Service could be worse, food could be worse, but they need to get rid of the automatic 20% for tip added to thebill. Read more
Great location and beautiful mountain views, however service was exceptionally slow. It wasn't overly busy but we still had to... wait 15 minutes before the server brought beverages. Had to go find menus on our own. The Birdie sandwich was missingcondiments and was very dry. Server never returned to our table. Gratuity is built into the tab so perhaps servers have littleincentive to provide reasonable service. Read more
This place is great! Love the rustic atmosphere and I'm sure many golfers love its location too. Food has been consistently very... good, and the wait staff are really nice. Hopefully the Tavern gets more recognition as its just a mile off Colorado Blvd. andnot quite so noticeable. If you like the place pass it on to your friends. Read more
We walked in tonight 545, waited to be seated for about 10 minutes. No problem. It was quiet. A few tables filled. Waitress... eventually walked by us, we said hi and were ignored. We waited another few minutes then left. Too bad ! Because we are goodtippers. There are other restaurants in town that have much better service. Read more
