I?ve given it my best shot with patents, benefits of the doubt and optimism but the line had to be drawn. The proof is in the... Sauce, some say and I agree. Too many times my pizza was not ready when promises, way overcooked (brittle and crusty) and neverany ownership, accountability or fixing it. Ok, they did bring a pie to my house that they didn?t have ready (theirfore 2stars). Take a peek into the kitchen and you see high school age kids maybe doing their best with prepping and cooking. I wanderwho the management really is. Say, I like pizza and I like dependable pizza. Not having what I expect when I order is likewalking outside on a spring day and finding snow!! Brittle!! So getting the same thing, each time I order is important. It?s nothappening here so it?s time to google a new pizza joint?to quote Bono, ?to find what I?m looking for????? Always friendly and courteous. I always have a big order because of the size of my family so there's a change with my order... sometimes. They are understanding and patient with the order process. Other pizza places will get angry and you can sense theirfrustration on the phone. Not with Blackjack Pizza. We bought our home in 2018, so we're still new to the area but we found ourhometown pizza place. Read more
Food is good most of the time, but have had some issues and pricing is poor. They have great crust, their sauce is good, and... they use an appropriate amount of sauce. Toppings are also good and decently portioned. The drive thru is a nice feature, butit is actually faster to go in. Issues have been: a couple of overcooked pizzas - not burnt black, but dark brown and hardcrust, one pizza that was almost half crust and only a small amount of sauce and toppings in the middle, oddly shaped and cutpizzas (lack of attention to detail and likely rushed), and most recently, pricing shown on the app was not the real price (realprice was 14% higher). Management have been good about fixing issues, but for the priciest chain pizza in the area, I expectbetter regular service. 4 stars for taste, 4 stars for customer service, 2 stars for quality and consistency. After their appshowed prices it did not actually grant and the same thing happened in the store, I may have had enough hassles here to go back. Read more
I never write reviews but this Blackjack store stepped up big time to help a family in need. A couple weeks ago my neighbors... unexpectedly lost a family member in a tragic accident. My wife and I wanted to help but didn?t know how. We knew the family wasunder a lot of stress and sadness so we thought that at the very least, we could take the stress away of having to think aboutwhat to do for dinner. We went to this store and got them a gift card and asked if Blackjack would like to match our gift cardamount to help this family. They immediately called the owner who said that they would like to help and doubled the gift cardamount. They did not hesitate to help a family in the community and I will always respect them for that. This store became my goto for pizza because of their kind gesture. Big props to them for helping out.
