There wasn't many people there, there was 3 of us in our party. We all placed our orders, it took 45 minutes to get our food. ... Also the chicken was the special that evening. This place is an original central Minnesota gem, it is a must experience spot for anyone living in or visiting the region. ... On/off sale liquor, gas, diesel, convenience store, full bar and restaurant, what else could you need? The facelift it has hadin the last few years has been long awaited and refreshing. I keep trying to get back here to try more menu items ever since learning Bruno runs the place. The guy that runs the place used... to also run The Hub Supper Club and everyone likes and appreciates his ideas and menu items. It?s funny because I was looking atthe menu and thought it was odd to see menu items you usually wouldn?t see unless you were in a metropolitan area perhaps, and Itold the waiter and he said yeah that?s Bruno?s doing, he?s got a knack for this stuff and everyone loves the food. I asked ifit was the Bruno I remember, and sure enough it was. So I wasn?t surprised to see a great menu once I knew who was behind it.From the outside it?s hard to tell what kind of place it is, I mean it?s connected to a gas station, so I was expecting somesort of truckers restaurant, but this is just a unique kinda place that?s its own thing. The inside is interesting and thespecials are great. They honor military on Mondays with a free meal and drink which just happens to be the day I went in therethe first time, so that hooked me also. The only reason I docked it a star has nothing to do with food or service, but I?venoticed in the handful of times I?ve been in there now that they have their regulars it seems, and I?ve felt observed every timeI?m in there like everyone stares. That?s nothing the restaurant can change, but it felt awkward each time, like I wasn?twelcome sorta feeling.
