This is one of the best and most authentic Japanese restaurants that I?ve ever had in NYC. The sushi is excellent, better than... fancy sushi places in Manhattan. The quality of the fish is so fresh. Other dishes are excellent too, reminded me of what my momcooks at home in Japan. The interior design is really nice too. Reminded me of a modern hip restaurants in Japan. All the dishes here were so beautifully presented! The fish was very fresh, and there was a good variety of fish.

i tried the chirashi. It's fair quality of fish , including salmon, yellow fin, scallop, shrimp, roe. ($22) Appreciated the... chef put this together at this price. I m happy with my meal. I loved the authenticity of this restaurant. Look forward toreturn to try other dishes. The challenge is seating and space to put your bag. It will be a question in winter's jacket. Read more

Yum, a great place with authentic Japanese in the neighborhood. I love that they bring a sign around that has the specials of... the day, which we normally order. All of their dons are delicious, and so are their sushi dishes. It's a small but cozyenvironment, and the food makes you feel welcomed. I love coming for dinner and ordering a sake to go with our meal andfinishing off with a dessert that they have available. It can get pretty busy during the peak hours/days, so I recommend goinga little off-peak to guarantee a spot. Read more

Best bento box I've ever had! Every time I go to a Japanese restaurant and order bento box, they're all mediocre with common... menus (i.e. teriyaki). But here, there's a variety and the taste is above average as well. And lunch price makes it much moreworthwhile. We tried 'stir fried pork belly' and 'fried panko crusted chicken thigh.' The pork belly had a fire taste (??) andthe taste was well-balanced. Panko crusted chicken was juicy and the crust was crunchy. I definitely would return and lookforward to trying different menus. Went here for the first time with a friend after rock climbing. The vibe here is perfect for a date. I got the sushi platter... and everything tasted really fresh. Although the gyu udon soup I got was a bit too salty. Price wise it was pretty decent forits location. For sushi lovers with a date, this is a great place! Read more

very good sushi for super reasonable prices. the lunch specials are amazing ($12 for a bento!!). i got the nigiri & one roll... combo? i was so surprised by how good the fish quality was? the scallop one was amazing. the japanese pickles are also a must!!would highly recommend this spot in LIC. First time here and the sushi was very fresh. The place is really nicely decorated. The sewed salad had a spin to it with... different add ons, very tasty. The sushi roll was delicious and the fish itself on everything ordered very fresh. Read more
