This place looks like a great little place to eat and drink. Then you go inside and it's a bit underwhelming. Started out with a... drink list on a mirror that was nearly impossible to read. I ordered a beer and my partner ordered a red wine. Beer was pouredright there, the wine was brought to us a minute later. Probably because it came from a box. We got our food, fish and chips forher and a crab melt sandwich for me. The fish was two identically shaped perfect rectangles of obviously frozen fish. Shecouldn't even finish it. My crab melt was better, but still just smothered in cheese and tasted like canned crab. The mostdisappointing $70 lunch I've had in a very long time. Read more
Great little pub. The food was delicious. We had halibut fish and chips and a halibut wrap. The beers were also tasty. We had... Nebula an oatmeal stout, one of the best I've ever had and 2 IPAs which were also very good. They handle the staff shortage in afair and friendly way. We will be back and others should try it out..highly recommended. Read more
We just left there and I am only doing this because you are not being honest. We left our food on the table because it was not... good quality. I read a review where you said your fish was fresh? not true. Gordon would have a special time confronting you onyour ?fresh? slogan. I eat halibut that I catch in the ocean on a pretty regular basis so have a right to this opinion. Ourserver was rude and crabby and not welcoming and the fish was like van de camps from the store. If you don?t want bad reviews doa better job and get better products and be happy. Been going here for years. My favorite place around town. Plus, they have good mom and pop style hard seltzer and ciders that... can be purchased to go! Like Angry Beaver. Crispy Chicken strip wrap is the bomb and the Chipotle ranch on it, I would literallystab a vagrant for. ???? Read more
Great little place with awesome decor. Food was good (fish taco and crab cake) I would agree with the service notated in other... reviews, the person taking orders at the counter just seem overly exasperated and not pleased to be there. Read more
Really cool pirate and nautical decor, decent meal, but the service was not there at all. The fish and chips was also very small... fish portions when compared to other spots nearby. We had no issue with going up to the counter and ordering our meal. But theperson taking our order seemed to jump on us about weird things and came across as unwilling to serve us. They seemed to takesome issue about how we didn't pick out a table before we ordered. And then assumed that we weren't ready to order so we shouldgo look at the menus at the front of the restaurant and step out of the line. And then when delivering our food, she just gaveus whatever food was in her hand, acknowledged she didn't remember who ordered what, and just couldn't be bothered to ask. Iwouldn't have cared if the server asked us questions if they were unsure. But it was just a whole lot of attitude andassumptions instead of just talking to us like paying customers who would tip based on the service. Read more
Highly recommend because the food is so delicious and the halibut was nice thick pieces. The service was fast. We read the... reviews and overwhelmingly they were positive so while we were in Long Beach area we decided to stop in. Sat 22 Oct 2022 (3.5 Stars) Looking for Seafood, since we were at the coast. The "Cannon Balls" (deep fried mushrooms) were... the best thing we had at this location. The Chowder was pretty good. The fish and chips were below what we were expecting. Small and not tasty. Staffing was two people, one counter and one cook. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived, but1/2 to 3/4 full when we left. You order at the counter, pickup at the counter, and bus your own table. The decorations werefitting and nice for the restaurant style and menu. A sign at the cash register said "The restaurant was forvsale." Read more
