I like to consider myself a super nice guy when it comes to reviews about any establishment or restaurant visited. I've been to... Super Mex twice before and OMG! FOOD WAS YUMMEE! With covid-19 in play dining was closed. Why I say this, im not a fan of togo food. box, plastic utensils....but that has no bearing on this visits score. Ordered nachos with steak and ground beef. Nojalapeños. The cook got everything right except a few things missing. 1. No sour cream!!! Nooooo!!! There was alot ofguacamole!! Lucky me I had some in the fridge. 2. Steak - the taste of it lacked flavor, and the texture seemed like it wassteamed much longer than usual. I love medium rare, but this was like rubbery. Less on the steam and maybe grilled it for anice charred outside and melt like butter inside. 3. The ground beef. You ever eat oatmeal?? Ok. Now this was super superground beef that looked like oatmeal blackened. There was NO flavor and I think the meat was blended!!! Thats just anobservation and opinion. I paid 2.00 more for meat that wasn't meat or didn't taste like ground beef and look like it but alsono flavor at all. It was just, wow. Chips great. Cheese yum yum. Beans good. This long review will not deter me fromreturning. But I just know to ask for sour cream hahah, and do not order the beef products. It's not worth the trouble orwallet. Ill try the chicken and carnitas next time. P.S. I worked in the food industry for quite some time and managed. Iknow what walk thru's are, checking sauces and Temps, making sure recipes are to spec. I can complain and say overcharge and Ican make 3 platters for what I paid for at home. But if anyone is at super mex reading this, all I ask is check your product. Flavor and texture.
