We've been going to Super Mex for years and years. We can walk there in about 5 min. Sadly the recent experience will be the... final time at the 2nd St. location. Said that the last 3 times. Should have learned. There absolutely won't be a next time. Thefood was overly salty and greasy, too heavy a hand with the lard! YECCH! Even the rice(which was supposed to be the green riceand wasn't) was wet, greasy & gooey. Couldn't finish my food. The waiter kept apologizing. Not his fault. His service wasprofessional. When we lived in Belmont Shore over 30 years ago, we watched this place get built and we ate there in the first week it was... open. We visited yesterday on our anniversary and the food and service was just as amazing as it was when it opened. The food isalways awesome and authentic, the chips and salsa were amazing (as always) and a special shout-out to Adriana, who took care ofus. We mentioned that it was our anniversary and they gifted, blessed and surprised us with the most delicious bañuelo. Kudosto this place for staying around even during the pandemia. Read more
