Let me say I have sat inside and ate and the food was great. From the seafood to the desert and the good drinks. I would go back... and sit inside. (Edit: after learning they charge you 1st and offer no exchange or refund for bad food I would not go here andeat at all. )This time I ordered over google picked up my order. The fried catfish was yummy as were the fries. The 1/2 lbLarge Shrimp w/ shell no head Hot Box(8 shrimp) was really bad. The smell over took everything. It?s no way they packed it anddid not smell the nasty fishy smell ( not fresh fish.). I even tried taking it out of the sauce but no the shrimp were sour. Ialso got the Creole Jambalaya which tasted like it was made days ago . Peach cobbler taste like they mixed it with somethingelse and had I two peach pieces . I feel the fried selections are better if ordering Togo. I called serval times to saysomething about the smell and go no answer. However it is a Friday night. Have been wanting to try Louisiana Charlie?s for a while now, it seems like I always choose to go when it is closed. ... Fortunately I got a chance to try it the other day. When arriving the only available table was in the sun, so I grabbed it, thehostess explained that I had to order online and pay with CC. This process was a huge pain but I go through it. At first Ithought it was because of Covid but I?m still not sure. Strange because they have someone bring you drinks and the food so whynot take your order as well. With all that the food is delicious, the gumbo is amazing and tasted authentic. Prices are on thehigher side but the quality and portion size were worth it for me. The next time I go hopefully they will have servers andI?ll wait for a table on the dock side for a better experience. Read more
My boyfriend and I had a really fun time going to Louisiana Charlie's for my mom's Mother's Day lunch. The food was super tasty... he really liked the alligator. I really like the shrimp etouffee and then we all had some po' boys that were really generous inthe amount of seafood that they came with. I would happily go again the only thing that I was not perfectly happy with was thatnobody is roving around refilling waters because you have to order everything through their little app but it comes quickenough. Ok here it goes. I went here by accident because the place I was going to visit was closed. When I arrived here I was sat at a... table and told to scan a QR code and order on my phone. No one came to my table to ask me if I needed anything or tell me aboutthe items were on the menu. The descriptions on the menu were not detailed either so I had to guess what I thought would be goodto try on the menu. I ordered the barbecue ribs with Cajun corn and Mac and cheese. After placing my order and btw you can tipthe waiter who never comes to take your order ????! There is a server who delivers your food to your table. I will give hercredit that she was nice and did bring me some water upon request. I might add that I would have probably ordered a drink hadsomeone came and offered suggestions. Ok my review of the food. They serve really good size portions of ribs. The ribs weremeaty and the meat falls off the bones. I really enjoyed the sweet tangy sauce. My only thing was that I didn?t really taste asmoke flavor on the ribs which from my understanding they were smoked. B+ on the ribs. The mac and cheese was a little runnyand did not have that cheesy flavor that I like. This is a more personal opinion as I know some people enjoy runny Mac andcheese. I give it a C. I had no ideal what the Cajun corn would taste like since no one was there to tell me but I reallyenjoyed the spicyness of the seasoning and butter. A for the corn!!! Overall this place has good food, but I give it 3 starsfor the lack of service that had me guessing what to order. Happened to be in the area for a work conference and decided to look up local Cajun restaurants. As an Arkansan currently living... in Toronto, I have been severely lacking my daily dose of Cajun goodness. Was so excited to find this restaurant and enjoyed itso much I ate there TWICE during my visit. All staff are incredibly nice and welcoming, food is delicious with great sizedportions, and the location is great. Only small hiccup I had was with ordering. The restaurant is not currently at full servicewhich means you order through an app only. My Canadian bank card did not work with the app (since we use postal codes instead ofzip codes). It took me a long time to find someone to assist since no one is coming by the tables regularly. But, when I didfind someone, I was helped quickly which I appreciated. I wanted to give higher but the value isn't great. Got the crab hot box. That particular item didn't feel like a good value, the... crab was fine, but not amazing. Looking around I would probably have gotten the gumbo fries or the jambalaya. The service wasreally not great. Host forgot about us. The meal tastes well enough, just not the value for the price taste wise I wasexpecting. Read more
First time coming here. Saw the reviews and photos of others and said we had to try it out. Best decision had the spicy chicken... sandwich and the shrimp Po Boy and garlic pepper wings. Oh the Cajun fries are ????????????. Will be coming back Read more
