In the top 5 breakfast burritos I’ve ever eaten! The egg, the rice and beans, the sauce, the grilled tortilla and the portion... size!! Can’t say enough positive things about this place and their delicious food. Worth the price, I’d say.\n\n( EDITED11/2/22 - I used to absolutely love this place but the meat, specifically bacon they used in their burritos today was absolutelyawful. I ended up throwing away their $12 burrito ) Read more

Abuelita is the sweetest lady ever and the food is AMAZING! I felt like I was at my grandmas house eating her home cooked meals.... If you have trouble finding it, it’s literally in the same building of the gas station. Definitely come check it out and comein for some authentic Mexican food! Read more

Some of the best food in Denver. It\'s small but mighty. I would ask what stews they have and get one. They are all amazing.... Sure it might take longer but it is well worth it, food ready in 30 seconds is not food. Read more

Our experience was just excellent. The two people working both greeted me and were extremely helpful. Breakfast burritos were... top notch. Can\'t wait to go back for lunch. There\'s not much to put in a lengthy review, it was just really really good. Read more

Stopped in here because I wanted a breakfast burrito and didn\'t want to go to the chain across the street.\n\nThe owner(s) were... present, they\'re a mother/son team, and the son (didn\'t catch his name) was extremely friendly and welcoming. He suggested thechorizo burrito so I ordered the chorizo burrito.\n\nIt took a few moments for abuela to make it and I was pleasantly surprisedat the size. Expecting smaller, this burrito could easily give Chipotle or Qdoba a run for their money.\n\nThe burrito was good. There was a bit more greasy drippage than I was expecting but that could just be the chorizo. Regardless it was worth themoney.\n\nThey appeared to have a selection of \"Mexican\" sodas and there is a 7-11 right next door for people who wantsomething else.\n\nAll-in-all, I can see myself making this place a regular stop. Tucked beside a 7-eleven is La Cocina de la Abuela, an excellent restaurant for the traveler to stop and go, or sit and... experience a window into culture.\n\nWhere most people might think a breakfast burrito should be beef or chicken, potato cheeseand egg, this place offers chorizo, al pastor, and cabeza as options.\nThe burrito, unwieldy and plump strikes at the heart ofhunger, leaving one full but wishing they had more room.\n\nTo see guisados on the menu was not only a surprise, but hopeful forthe lone tree area to experience more of this unique cuisine.\n\nChicken in mole sauce and chicharron en salsa Verde weretoday\'s specials.\n\nI am excited for this place, and will be back soon.
