My friend and I went to Toboggan yesterday during a super busy afternoon and evening, and we were still super impressed by... everything. The food was delicious (the perch taco never disappoints), the beer was cold and tasty, and I was really impressedby the service, especially considering that the place was completely full. The hostess, Cali, was especially on top of things,making sure that everyone was acknowledged, helped, and given great service, all while maintaining a big smile on her face. Shedid her job fantastically, and was friendly and sweet the whole time, despite dealing with a huge rush. The patio upstairsprovides a lovely view of the park, and since it was such a warm day, it was bustling both indoors and out. I love the food atToboggan, which is a bit rare for me at a brewery. They have options for everyone; the menu is affordable, fresh, and hashealthy options as well as indulgent ones. They have some of the best beer in town, too. Pam was an awesome server, and since westayed a while, our next server, who was a young man with dark hair and blue eyes and whose name I can't recall was also great.Toboggan doesn't disappoint, and I'm so happy to have you guys as an option in this town! Pizza likely would have been good if it wasn't served cold. Lunch crowd was small, so I don't understand why the pizza probably... sat in the kitchen for 15 minutes before being served. We did order appetizers, so my best guess is that the pizza was made atthe same time as the appetizers, yet then sat under a heat lamp for 15-20 minutes while we ate the appetizers. Not impressed. Ordered a flight of beers. Amber,Wheat,Lager and Blonde. All good tasting beers personal favourite was the Amber. Also ordered... the Buffalo chicken pizza and Roast chicken pizza both are so tasty. Been here twice and both times the food was great. Will goback again. Read more
I'll preface thus by saying I'm a server myself, and things have to be pretty terrible to really create a bad experience for... me. We arrived at 130pm on a Wednesday and sat upstairs. There was no wait, as there was only about 5 other tables and 2servers. Our (2) flights took 20 min to get to us, and our server never once popped by to see if we wanted anything else, evenafter we had completely empty glasses. We would have flagged her down, but we couldn't see her. Most of our food came quickly.The brisket fondue was absolutely delicious however the lettuce wraps were quite standard. But about 10 min after receivingthese dishes I asked about the fries I ordered... She said 'oh, I forgot those. I'll go ring them in now'. No apology oranything. When the fries finally came the 'fresh cut fries' definitely looked frozen and they were disgustingly soggy. Fries arehard to screw up, but somehow they did. The only worthwhile dip was the gar par. The chipotle ketchup tastes like basic ketchup.Save yourself the few bucks and get a side with a single dip if you feel pulled to get fries. Our server didn't clear a singlething from our table while we were there, despite the plates being empty for some time before our bill came. When our bill didcome (after we waved her down and asked for it) I figured the fries may have been comped or reduced since she forgot (as that'swhat I would do) but they weren't. The only saving grace here was that the beers were quite good, and the glasses provided adecent means to reduce wasp harassment. Would be 1 star but the server was amazing! The food here is terrible. Bland, no flavors. Worst taco and pizza I have ever had... in my life. Only beer that was decent was their climate one. Avoid!! Read more
Delicious food and beer! Great atmosphere! We had a large group lunch at Toboggan and they handled it extremely well. The wait... staff were prompt and accommodating and our meals and drinks were delivered quickly. Really appreciated Toboggan having ourgroup. Would highly recommend! Read more
