I had the quesadilla and it was absolutely delicious! this is the type of place where you want to try one of everything. the... price is as it is listed, and you get great value and quality for what you pay. I started going to The Hearty Herbivore about 2 months ago. I have a dairy allergy so although I am not vegan I was excited to... find somewhere that served food that was dairy free. I have tried a couple of items and they have been delicious. My favouriteitem (and something I have been going back for every week) is the quesadilla, it?s phenomenal. In town for a short break on a long weekend and looking for some good vegan places and rather than go to chain restaurants, we... would rather support local businesses. To top it all, female owned and operated. Cherry on the top. Too bad it was very windyand 6/7 degrees the day we visited, or else our first choice is to eat outside. Two picnic tables are available for a suitableday. Ordered a Taco Bowl and Sausage on a bun for me. The taco bowl made mild. The bowl was super tasty and flavourful. Simplebowl, but so much taste. The sale fresh, the the Beyond meat cooked perfectly, veggies sautéed nicely with perfect seasonings.The chips on the bowl gave a nice crunch. Just that the quantity was less than what we needed and the nacho chips again toolittle. The Sausage on a bun was top notch. Sautéed peppers and onions and beyond sausage. Perhaps a bit more mustard for theMrs when she took a bite, but as a mustard lover it was good. Wish there was some more starch (Fries?) available to complete ameal.
