Reviews for Quynh Nhi in London, ON
Ate here years ago and was not impressed. Why does no one understand what hospitality is? We walk in and sit there for 15 mins... with no other customers and get no water, no tea. I go up and give her my order. It was not busy and the food was bland andexpensive. Every dish was bland. 17$ for Pho??? Come on. Read more
I can?t say enough how much I?ve missed this place. I?ve been going for almost 20 years I think, but moving out of town has... hampered my visits! I started off with the fresh shrimp spring roll and then I got my old standby?. #416 Spicy beef noodle soupextra spicy ?????! The owner hasn?t changed a bit and greeted me like an old friend. I guarantee it won?t be long before wereturn! Read more
Pho was fine, but the portion was quite small, with little beef. There is one size only for $16.50, and I left hungry. Owners... should evaluate their price and portion with comparables. Significantly better value can be found elsewhere in town. Read more
My partner and I used to come here all the time but recently ordered take out on multiple occasions and their pho is $16.50 plus... tax with a tiny portion size with minimal meat and toppings. We had to order a second dinner. Read more
Such a lacking experience. I settled on the only curry available, which was full of lemongrass sticks & cat food packed... potatoes. My husband got chicken & beef pad Thai- that was so unflavoured that our dog ate it. Overpriced and lacking. Will notreturn. Read more
4.5* First Viet place I've been to where there is only one size for the Pho. The taste is decent
I am not sure how this place got such high scores from other reviews as it is overall terrible. We ordered 2 dishes: the grilled... lemongrass chicken with shredded pork on rice and the special beef noodle soup. For the grilled lemongrass pork with shreddedpork, as pictured below, the amount of protein we got was comically small. The chicken was also very thin, meaning it's going tobe overall dry when grilled and blandly seasoned. The shredded pork and rice was average compared to other Vietnameserestaurants. For $15.50 at the of this review, it is priced higher than most other Vietnamese restaurants for significantlylower quality. The special beef noodle only contained sliced beef, beef balls and 2 pieces of tripe, as pictured below. (Thiswas a takeout order and the noodles and soup were combined in my own bowl.) It did not contain any beef brisket that wasindicated on the menu. The beef balls were also split into thirds instead of the usual halves to further cheap out oningredients (this is also pictured below). The soup was a bit weak on flavour but acceptable. The noodles themselves are likelycommercially purchased as were similar to those found in other Vietnamese restaurants. Overall, the special beef noodle soup isnot as laughably bad as the first dish, but still overpriced for $15.00 at the time of this review. In summary, as both dishesfollow the theme of skimping out on ingredients, it's not likely it's a one off thing. I am seriously not sure how it managed toget 5-star scores from other reviewers; maybe it was better in the past or they have just never eaten at any other Vietnameserestaurants. I don't think there is a single Vietnamese restaurant in London that is worse than this one so I would suggestgoing to any of the other ones in London. Read more
Order a beef pho (#402). Broth was tasty but the portion was quite small, with little beef (literally only 3 very small slices).... After tax and tip spent $19 and was still hungry enough afterwards to get McDonald's still, generally with Vietnameserestaurants I am struggling to finish my servings or have some left overs. Agree with other reviews in that the meal itself wastasty enough however the portion for the price is definitely not worth it. Significantly better value can be found elsewhere intown. Read more
