We were there on Saturday at 330 in the afternoon. The only people in the whole place besides what looked like the two servers... friends. They sat at the bar with them the whole time. My husband and I each ordered a burger. Forty minutes later we both saidto each other, this is taking a long time considering there is no one else in the place. The server didn?t even go in thekitchen to find out what was going on with our food. Finally she did go back and came out to our table and said it?s just gunnabe another few minutes. I said can we can just have our bill for our drinks thinking we were quite patient so far. The servertakes off for another five minutes. Comes back out with the bill and says she took the food off but will give it to us to go. Wesaid no thank you. We would just like to pay for our drinks and would like to leave. On our way out, the server says oh sorrythe cook is quitting or something like that. Just so overall bad experience at a place we had previously liked going to. Read more

This is our 'Cheers'. Everyone has that place that just feels comfortable. My wife and I will often pop in for a pint and the... occasional bite if we find a moment in our busy schedules. Between our jobs, a side hustle, and three kids under 10 - ourwindows of opportunity is small. Spare time is important to us, and what we do with it matters. The owners and operators of'Carey's' are family people who make you feel like you're part of their extended family. You can tell that they treat theirstaff with respect, because the quality of the experience is a reflection of that. The beer and spirit selection isn't huge, butthey try to have something for every preference. And if a regular customer drinks a particular brand, you can bet they will goout of their way to ensure it is always in stock. The food is fresh and always prepared with care. If you need to bend yourelbows on a bar and relax, want a place (great patio in the warm months) for drinks after a round of golf, have time after classto unwind, or if you need a place to take the family for dinner on the days that calls for a break from cooking - look nofurther.
