The food was okay and the service was nice; an overall average restaurant. However, I've felt a slow and steady decline in... quality over the years. I've always ordered their house special pho and over the years, it feels like the portions are getting abit smaller, the noodles are getting soggier and the price is going up a bit more. Not sure if there's some kind of disconnect,but I think the downtown location is slightly cheaper too? I've been going to the downtown location since I was 15 years old,and so I may be biased, but I've felt that the downtown location has done a better job maintaining quality over these pastyears. Chicken Satay, Basil Fried Rice Chicken, Green curry. Surprised that green curry doesn't come with side of rice, had to order it... separately. Even Basil fried rice wasn't on the menu, they replaced the noodles with rice. The quality of food is ok, but veryvery expensive. The food is definitely not worth the price. This is one of those places that lure you in with amazing pictures and expensive prices only to give you something different. ... We had pad Thai. It was pretty much a pile of dry noodles with no vegetables and some chicken. Not great flavor either. Bigportions but why would you want it? Second picture is kimchi. We came to Ben Thanh on a whim, I am so glad we did! The food and service was amazing, completely traditional and the... environment was soo warming. The Pho was pretty good. I got the Pho with the rare beef and meatballs which had nice broth. Menu is not your typical... Vietnamese menu. Some of dishes on the menu are not Vietnamese. Read more

Ordered online for takeout. Process was simple, menu well organized, easy payment. Arrived a few minutes early and the food was... ready right on time. Was hot, fresh, and very tasty. Had the red spicy curry with Thai jasmine rice and the chicken satayskewers with extra peanut sauce. The food was delicious, with large size portions, and properly priced. Would definitelyrecommend. FYI - Ben Thanh North is now located at Sherwood Forest Mall on the North side near the Gainsborough entrance. The new location... has been open for three days, and they did not disappoint. The food was fresh, hot, and everything you would expect from thisiconic London restaurant. Our server, Rob (also the owner), was attentive and friendly. Great experience!
