Alas, what a disappointing experience. 5 of us came to celebrate my sister's birthday. My sister arrived first and was ignored... for ten minutes before the rest of us arrived and were ignored for another 20. Finally our waitress showed up, after walkingpast the neglected table many times, and said she hadn't realized we were her table. Not a great start but I'd have been coolwith it if the rest had been good. Ordered 10 wings for the table, hot. Plus the hummus plate. They were out of the hummusplate and literally everything else on the app menu besides fried mushrooms. The wings, which claimed to be "award winning" werelegitimately so terrible that 3 or 4 went uneaten between the 5 of us and my husband and stepson are some big fellas that leaveno wing behind. Undercooked, greasy, plenty of vinegar and no spice. I officially award them "Worst Wings of 2022 (SoFar)". Entrées included: 2 Philosophy salads with fried chicken (verdict: "well, the lettuce is good" - chicken wasovercooked. 1 chicken and waffles judged by DH to be "okay", but with the same overcooked chicken. Stairway to Heaven burger (Ithink that's what it was called) was declared good by stepson, who had it with the sweet potato fries. I had the southern burgerthat came with fried pickles and pimento cheese. It wasn't awful but the sheer volume of gloopy cheese was gross. They didactually cook it med-well though so some kudos for that. The fries were pretty good too but sauces were weird and just not good.You could turn the honey mustard upside down and it wouldn't budge. Ambience was pretty much "we dgaf". It was 4pm on a Sundayso they were not overly busy but it took a long time to get the check as well... it's a low bar but they did get our orderright. Just overall a subpar experience. Philanthropy facilitated the space, food and drinks for my mothers 75th birthday for over 30 people. The space was perfect and... they helped us set up. The food and drink were great and Caleb did a great job attending to the party! Everyone had such agreat time that they want to do it again!! Wow what an improvement in support from the community coming out and dinning with us! From our fresh never frozen angus... hamburger meat that we patty out fresh every morning, to our homemade jams and Dipping sauces, hand rolled mac bombs, freshbread we get in daily from local bakery, we put love into everything we do in our kitchen and we hope it shows. As an employeeof Philanthropy?s I?ve never worked for a place that I could Truly stand behind and support like I do this restaurant, and it?sonly because of how hard our WHOLE team works in order to make our customers happy. Second visit! .60 wings on Wednesday. Gotta try their wings! Crispy and nice size. Had the garlic park and yellow pepper. ... Tried honey BBQ, not a fan but that?s just preference. EVERYONE was super friendly! Had Caleb again so that was a plus. Firstvisit. 3 out of 4 enjoyed their burgers. Fries were very good. Carmelized onions on burger were barely there. Goat cheesewas just a smear. But Caleb, waiter, excellent. Very informative. Informed of their weekly specials. Will be back to try thewings (Wednesday $.60/each). Read more

I had been thinking about surprising my parents for their birthday but not a lot of venues or event spaces in Grayson/... Loganville we?re available. So I called Philanthropy and the hostess put me in touch with the owners, and Kenny made it so easyto work with. He took the time to help me tremendously with ideas for set up to make a fabulous event. Check out my photos forinspiration! We used the patio (insulated and temperature controlled), had a self-serve buffet style BBQ theme and the food wasso delicious. Our bellies were full! Stopped by for lunch. Had the .60 wings. Excellent price and our server (Alicia) was fantastic. She was pleasant, helpful, and... attentive. The wings were okay, the fries are standard frozen -style steak fries, but I really enjoyed the onion rings. At theend, we got to choose a charity to donate to. That was super cool.
