Reviews for The Oxford Kitchen in Lodi, CA
Okay this places is a 4.5. I read reviews where people complained about portion size and price etc. Well I have to say that the... portion sizes are just right. I was stuffed for hours. Service was on point. Really friendly, attentive and informative. Thedrinks were good but ???? my pineapple margarita tasted off. Not sure why. That and the chocolate desert being too muchchocolate are the reason for the 4.5 versus 5. The food was amazing. Everyone loved their food and had nothing but good thingsto say. I tasted the scotched eggs, wings, calamari, cauliflower, Wellington and the chocolate tart. Everything except desertfor me was in point. Well flavored, cooked to the right temperature. I felt like my meat dissolved in my mouth. Anyways, it's abeautiful establishment. Would recommend Read more
I have been to the Oxford Kitchen several times and have enjoyed if everything. The food is unique for this area and the service... is excellent. The atmosphere is charming and inviting. The original Bank building tin ceiling can bee seen from the cozy booths.I usually get the Shepherds Pie or Fish and chips but my husband loves the Chicken Masala with Jasmine rice and grilled flatbread...to die for! The salads are fresh, HUGE portions and delicious. Mushroom ravioli (my friends order) Shepherds pie andsalads (seen here) and we always leave room for the Passion Fruit Panacotta YOU HAVE TO TRY IT! Make sure to give this new Lodirestaurant a try and make reservations to ensure you get in. Read more

First visit to this new restaurant in Lodi. The establishment looks modern and hip with lots of space. Our server was welcoming... and friendly. She was constantly checking in and the wait staff was quick to clear our plates. We started with the Scotch eggsbased on recommendations from friends. These were absolute delicious bites of goodness... a must try. I also had the pineapplemargarita cocktail. It's not your typical margarita; different, yet good. I had the beef wellington which came with mashedpotatoes and zucchini. I found this dish to be tasty and satisfying. The beef was cooked to my liking and I loved the pastrysurrounding the meat. The mashed potatoes were served decoratively as it was swirled into a mound in the center of a plate. Thezucchini coins were then placed around the base of the potatoes. It was a beautiful presentation. Hubby had the chicken tikkamasala. The rice and bread that came with it was a wonderful compliment to the rich, slightly spicy sauce. This dish wasdelightful and filling. This is a British-centric restaurant with typical dishes like fish and chips and bangers and mash, along with other unique entrees. We enjoyed our first visit and look forward to returning. Read more
Really nice staff. Food was good. Had the fish and chips. The batter on the bottom of the fish was soggy maybe from the wax... paper instead of dry paper? Decent prices. Only real complaint they ran out of ice tea , for 4dollars let me know I'm onlygetting 1 and a half servings. Read more

Get a reservation for dinner if you can. The food iswonderful, the drinks are strong. I was pleased with the quality of the service every time we've been there which as of now hasbeen around 4 or 5 times since they opened. Will definitely be going back. Read more

My wife and I enjoyed our first meal at the Oxford Kitchen. Per their website, their cuisine is inspired by the diverse food of... the London street markets. I went with the Classic Beef Wellington and my wife ordered the fish offering of the day. Bothentrees were delicious. For a small plate appetizer, I high recommend the Scotch Eggs???? We will be back soon. Read more
