Delicious food, probably the best place for Asian food in Lodi, at least to me. Tastes just like how you'd hope and dream ????
To start off I will tell you I got my food to go (the online ordering service for this place works surprisingly well), and so I... can't comment on the service aspect of this restaurant. The restaurant itself is in an ambiguously older building right alongthe street. Were I to describe the look of the interior as 'par for the course' in terms of the typical chinese restaurant, youwould know immediately what you would be walking into. I did come in the evening, right around when the sun was setting, somost of the blinds were closed and it felt a bit dark and dingy, but I imagine with mare natural light during the day it has avery chill vibe. But I digress: we aren't here on an interior design tour. The food was good and prepared quickly. I wasparticularly impressed with the vegetable fried rice and the vegetable delight. The rice was slightly sticky, but didn't clumpand had a definite, 'just so' amount of soy sauce and/or salt. Usually I find most places can get the look of the rice correctbut deliver a slightly soggy and bland product. This place nails the presentation, flavor, and texture (slight chew, but notmushy in any sense; well cooked). To my taste it was lightly salted, but I also prefer a fair amount of salt, and I imagine therice would please most people. The vegetable delight was also seasoned just right. Enough garlic to ensure it is more than awhisper, but still coy enough so that no one else can be alerted to its presence before seeing or tasting it. I don't need towax poetic about the maladies of garlic abuse as we all probably have a memorable instance of such things. The texture, too, wasdelightful: vegetables that are cooked (maybe steamed) but not wilted and limp. Still a bit of a crispness when being bitteninto, but not falling apart either. In terms of meat, I ordered the General's chicken and Sweet and Sour pork, and they weregood as well. Sauces weren't too sweet and there was a definite and distinct difference in flavor with Read more
Terrible service! The waitress interrupted my mom while she was ordering and didn’t let her finish, then left the table while... I was ordering because a notification chimed on her cellphone. The chow main was very bland. The sesame chicken was fantastic, that’s why I gave it two stars. Read more
