We were planning on going to the other place in llano that the town is famous for with barbecue. Other recommendations pointed... us here. Hands down some of the best barbecue I've had in Texas! The brisket was melting your mouth delicious and the ribs wereso moist and flavorful. I would highly recommend for anybody traveling in the area to make it turn off and go there for food.Eat there, or get it to go... Either way it's fantastic. Stopped here for lunch today. Great food. Had the moist barky brisket, ribs and sausage. Being from DFW, many TX Monthly Top 50... available. This is worthy of being amongst some of those. Some of the best BBQ around for miles, and I have been in a 100 mile radius. My first time here. The meat is tender, and the... ribs fall off the bone. The prices for what you get are great! A three meat meal is enough for two, or to take home forleftovers. We'll be back! Read more
This is a great example of "don't judge a book by it's cover"! This unimposing barbecue joint is actually offering up some... serious Q. I enjoyed the brisket which was fork-tender and deliciously smoky, also some tasty housemade coleslaw and potatosalad! They offer meat plates, a chopped beef sandwich and more. House BBQ sauce is just the right mix of tangy andsweet...Friendly service and reasonable prices top it off! Run by a husband and wife team the establishment is clean andpleasant. They also offer dining out of doors if you are so inclined. The establishment is BYOB and only open Wednesday throughSunday until the BBQ runs out....beware. ...went back on a Saturday and enjoyed the pork ribs, my wife had the chopped beefsandwich and beans. I will review this BBQ establishment on the level of the greatest. One dines at Texas BBQ joints for one reason :... brisket. Suffice to say, the brisket is excellent and in fact, is the best I have had in awhile. It is moist, with a perfect,crispy, caramelized surface. The only detriment was the poor BBQ sauce. The sausage was pretty good, but not great, as was thecoleslaw. However, the potato salad was excellent. A worthy visit, and as I expect this to become greater patronized as it isdiscovered, the parking, which is already struggling, will become totally inadequate. Read more
