I have been an at least weekly if not more patron for a few years. The last few times the prices have been raised and it seems... the portions have declined. I understand that prices have gone up for them also. I worked in the industry for 25 years and wasaccountable for food costs and labor cost, so I get it. But in the climate we are in, I would say it was an ill fated priceincrease. Remove the items that are slow movers, don't raise the prices of already profitable items. I will always support afamily owned business first, but if I can go a mile down and support another one and get the same for less money I will. We areall struggling to get by. They have never messed up my food ( besides shrinking it) , so it is all about price point. Shrink themenu instead of inflating costs on items that move. Just a thought. Read more
This place is deceiving in a good way. You walk in and look at the menu and think " Eh, looks like any other coney island like... diner" and the selection certainly makes it look that way. But the quality is above what you expect for a diner. I ordered a hamand swiss thinking I might get some cold cuts of ham or thin slices of lunch meat style. But I get this sub with caramelizedends on the ham and fresh leafy lettuce and the fries were hot. This place is cozy for sure because when I was done with my mealI wanted to lay down for a nap. I come here pretty often with a group of friends and the staff are always super nice, accommodating and on top of things, and... the value is amazing! You get SO much food for what you pay and I haven't had a bad dish here yet. I love their patty melt andwas pleasantly surprised by their little chicken wing side. Breakfast and desserts are great too! I definitely recommend thisplace to anyone looking for a yummy meal at a comfy, friendly place. Read more
Fantastic place for breakfast. Easily a dozen choices of omelettes. Also at least a dozen breakfast choices like corned beef... and hash, french toast, an italian sausage breakfast, and pork chop and eggs. I had the spinach and feta cheese omelette;filling and perfectly done (not runny nor burnt). They even have an omelette with steak. Great service; hard working friendlypeople. Read more
I sat and waited for over 20mins to be waited on and the girl that seated us was supposed to be my waitress she didn't even do... anything she just ignored us. then the waitress that was working ended up trying to take our order .by that time I was ready toleave . I was disgusted with the help that I didn't receive to order and I watched three other people order before me and I wasthere before them. Great place to eat...the waitstaff is attentive, fresh made soups and other daily menu items. Nice atmosphere. Delicious food is... their specialty. The owner is very nice, always talking to the customers. Side note, he was a feather (?) weight boxer in hisearly years. There's a picture of him proudly displayed on the wall. Nice touch! As usual, I inspect the bathroom vent and very happy to say, very clean. They definitely take pride in their diner . Read more
So here we go... I really hate giving bad reviews and honestly I try not to, but unfortunately Marcos earned the honor of a... one-star review today. Honestly we were very excited to try the corned beef, the place was clean inside and looked orderly. Unfortunately that was not the case... There were only two other tables filled and they seemed much more preoccupied getting thetakeout orders and drive through orders done before they even blinked at eye at us.. All we kept hearing from the bothwaitresses were " there are only two of us " and " we will get to you when we can " and after almost 25 minutes waiting for ourdrinks and for them to take our order we decided to get up and leave!! You get what you pay for. Farm fresh tomatoes, crisp healthy lettuce, the best quality meat you can get in a drive through in... ALL of Michigan. If you haven't gotten to meet Tony and feel the experience of an Albanian owned diner than you are truelymissing out. This is all just the DRIVE THROUGH experience let alone the heart warming indoor family experience inside.
