Wanted to love this place but unfortunately the food is just blah. The bacon was by far the worst we've ever had, even my 6 year... old (who loves bacon) said it was bad and didn't finish it. The portions and prices for the children's plates are good but myhusband and I each ordered a plate and it looked like a children's plate...so not worth the price. The coffee had an odd tasteso my husband ordered a cappuccino thinking it would be better...well that was gross too. The only reason why I rated 2 starswas for our server who was great. Read more

Comfortable place with a friendly staff and excellent food. So why 4 stars? Everything is big and heavy. A quarter of a century... ago, I would have loved it, but these days, most everything was to big and too rich. I left too much food on my plate. I'd loveeither a 'light eaters' or Seniors section on the menu. That would earn 5 stars! Read more

Pretty excited to try this place but was left with mehh. Friendly staff. Tried the beignets to start, was a bit stale and... chewier in the center the fruit sauces that came with it were good though. Decided to go with savory this time, my gf got thepouched eggs on top of Texas toast and sausages. I got the biscuits with chicken fried steak and gravy. The hollandaise saucecurdled on her eggs and my dish was just really bland. Everything was just bland I was excited for the peppers and onions withtheir potatoes but that was just flavorless. I tried adding salt but just didn't help it. I will probably come back though totry their lemonades and their sweet breakfast stuff but man.. just disappointed with the lack of flavor thought would be poppingwith Louisiana spices. Read more

Great food, and a lot of choices. It can get crowded on the weekends, so make sure you bring your patience with you. We only... waited about 5 minutes for our table, but the line started getting long after that. We arrived at a good time and beat thecrowd! The service was excellent, and we didn't wait a long time for the food to come out. If you go, try the lemonade. Youcan't miss with either one of the flavors. Meh. I so wanted to love this place. It has a bit of a funky smell and a huge water leak in the bathroom. Food is Southern... inspired but if you've actually had a beignet in NOLA you will be very disappointed here. :( Read more
