Reviews for The Butcher Shop in Little Rock, AK
We had the Tortilla soup and the steak salad. The soup was wonderful, and the steak was perfectly prepared! Too delicious to... waste time taking photos.???? The music was great and not too loud so you could easily talk at the table. And our server Laciewas very attentive. Not a big fan of the puffy white flour rolls and would have liked something a bit more hearty bread. Read more
We were very much looking forward to eating here again. We remembered it being absolutely fantasies. It was really nothing to... get excited about now. The service was very good, but the steaks were just okay. There was no flavor in my ribeye and it wastough, even though it was cooked medium/medium rare...it took a long time to chew. My husband had a blackened New York Strip andit just wasn't anything like he expected. The sides were decent, but I had to choose a baked potato due to the amount of pepperin the other potato options. It would be nice to offer smaller portions for people that cannot eat the oversized, Americanstandard portions, as well. For food that was just okay, it was a lot of money. And we really didn't want the leftovers.Disappointed. Read more
My sister did a contract to hold a part of 31, well only around 20 showed and at the end of the dinner we told the minimum... amount of gratuity hadn?t been met and we were to pay another $70. While some of our part had already gotten their checks whichincluded their automatic 20%, most of us were held up because our server (who?s getting a guaranteed gratuity on 31 people) tookon other tables. I?ve actually had much better service at Waffle House, and I?m sorry but guaranteed 20% gratuity should meanguaranteed service. Read more
It has been several years since we have eaten at the butcher shop and I must say our memories we're much more pleasing than the... actual restaurant nothing special nothing extraordinary the best part of our meal was the waiter My porterhouse was probablythe steak that was was most disappointing the filet side of the porterhouse was delicious while the New York strip side wasextremely chewy without any tenderness to speak of. The sirloin steaks were flavorful and delicious Sauteed vegetables wereexcellent The baked potatoes were what you would expect but the salad dressing in our case blue cheese was not what we wouldhave expected at a restaurant of this level It tasted as if it was a cheap store brand. So a rating of 1 through 10 we wouldgive this restaurant a five It's neither outstanding nor totally disappointing. But I must say we did expect more for thislevel of pricing - we spent 127.00 + or - for three adults including one alcoholic drink Read more

Had a great meal tonight with my Mom, sister and wife (early Mom's-day dinner!). First time here for us...very happy with... everything. We had the Calamari for starters...it was just "ok"...nothing special. The steaks were cooked exactly like weordered and tasted really good. We had 2 Ribeyes, 1 Prime Rib and 1 Fettuccini Alfredo w/shrimp). Everyone liked theirsteak...the shrimp had a slightly undercooked texture. Personally, I wouldn't say it was the best steak I've had, but it wasvery good. Sides were really tasty as well (we had a loaded baked potato, twice baked potato, sauteed veggies andmushrooms). Cheesecake was really good too! Service was fantastic from our server, Josh. He was really polite, personable, helpful and prompt... great job! Prices are a little higher than I normally spend for dinner, but not too much and I thinkon-point for the experience. I definitely recommend giving the Butcher Shop a try and will certainly be back! Stay away from steak burger Fridays. I just left there. I ordered a double and it was dry and had zero flavor. After I sat down... I noticed they cook them, put them in a silver container, and take them out to warm up and melt the cheese as customers comethrough. It was terrible and surprising to see a place of this stature serve burgers this way. A waist of $19. Please stick tosteaks if you're just going to serve reheated burgers. You're better than that.
