The tamale spread was absolutely the best thing there. Overall good and we will be back. The only thing I would say could be... improved is that the meat could be more smokey. It tasted fine but not much of a smoked flavor. I smoke meat a lot and if it'sgoing to be in the smoker for hours I want it to taste smoked and not roasted. But it wasn't bad at all. That may just be howthey do it there which fine. The BBQ sauce isn't my style but it's still good and goes well with the dishes. It's very heavilytomato flavored and almost more like a marinara. We got Mcclards beans and potato salad as sides and I thought they were great. Got a peach cobbler too and it was great with lots of crust. Our server was Jeanne (I think) and she was absolutely fantastic. Read more

Service was great, gals were very nice. Food was mediocre. Sides were just not good. Was offered replacements but I didn't see... how that would make things better, would have preferred a discount because majority of order was uneaten. Ribs were good!Catfish was dime a dozen type and brisket was ok, well smoked but bland. Paid $80. Probably won't return. Read more

Wonderful addition to the restaurant scene!! Food is wonderful with it's tastiness, and they keep it simple!! Our waitress was... VERY attentive, and we accidentally stayed a bit past closing, but no one rushed us out. My first time there, DEFINITELY not mylast! Read more

We too are frequent visitors of the Hot Springs location and there was just something off from the food at the new Little Rock... spot. We ordered a full spread and pork sandwich. The spread tasted different than usual. Not sure if it was the tamales orsomething else, but it wasn?t quite the same. There might have been too much masa, or they just weren?t as flavorful. The porksandwich was good but the bun was soggy due to too much juice, so we had to eat it first (and quickly). All in all it was good, but there is definitely room for improvement. Read more

Website says open until 8. Drove up specifically to eat here and doors are locked at 7:30. No note or anything. Another couple... pulled up right before us and two more turned in as we were leaving. Must not need our support if you can afford to give upbusiness like that. Read more

I was close by so I decided to stop. I had sliced brisket, mashed potatoes and green beans. The brisket was ok the mashed... potatoes had a smoky flavor and the green beans were from a can. The dessert was really good, I had possum pie. The highlight ofthe meal was my server, Whitney was an outstanding server she is the reason the 5 star rating happened. Read more

McClard?s fans beware, no McClard?s tamales. They do have the spread but it?s only bc they are able to hide canned tamales in it... and hope you can?t tell. But clearly any McClard?s fan will know immediately. We were told a bogus story at first for why wecouldn?t order just a tamale but after ordering the spread we figured it out?. They did say they are going to learn how to makethem soon only after confronted. The waitress was super nice and the non-Mclards food was good other than their baked beanswhich my infant loved until a few hours later when he puked them all up and was sick all night. Won?t be back. Superdisappointing Read more

We frequent McClard's in HS often. By comparison here is differences we saw. Service was excellent (as expected). The rib dinner... has skimpy on fries and they were not the same as one in HS store. The slaw was okay. The tamale spread had something missing, couldn't decide just what. I think it was a little short on pork, and some of what I got was dry. I willing to forget some ofthis to newness. I'm happy that I don't have to drive 100+ miles thru construction zones anymore. We will be back and hope sometweaking will be done before then. Read more
