Was good but staff left us waiting for several minutes and seemed irritated we were there? Odd atmosphere for an ice cream place

Went to Marble Slab?s website and MaggieMoo?s was on the list to order a custom cake from in the Little Rock area. Unfortunately... not only is their website not working to put an online order in but after reading the reviews of people experiencingpoor/unsatisfactory customer service with the employees disinterested attitudes.. I?ve decided to go with the Marble Slab inConway, mainly because I?m going to have to call for the cakes customizations and this may be too difficult for unqualifiedemployees to handle without messing it up. 2 out of 5 stars because MaggieMoo?s and Marble Slab make a good product. don't bother with this ice cream shop. There are plenty of other places to get a sweet treat nearby and the older guy who works... there gives you tiny portions. He's kinda rude too. Read more

My kids and I were out shopping today and decided we wanted some ice cream. It was 11:50 and the door was open so we went on in.... The girl working mumbled something and I said excuse me. She said we don?t open until 12:00. I don?t even know that they didn?topen until noon. I didn?t want to disappoint my kids so we went out and came back 10 minutes later. She never greeted us as westood in front of the ice cream waiting to be served. She never looked up and continued to wipe up and around the ice creamarea. We finally just walked out. This place used to be really good and we went often. We will not be back because the customerservice has been bad for a while but today was ridiculous!!! She should have just stopped what she was doing when we came in at11:50, good grief just 10 minutes before opening time and the door was open! Please teach your employees respect and customerservice. Ice cream is good, and kids like it, been here many times. Do agree with other reviews that customer service could be improved.... We never got "disrespected", as others described, but their overall disinterested behavior would make more sense in a roadsidediner at 3am rather than an ice cream store on a sunny summer day. This place was great ages ago. But the past couple of times we visited, the apparent owner or manager was SO blatantly... disrespectful, dismissive & downright rude, we put a kabosh on it. In addition to scoffing at my family when we asked about thechocolate-fudge-type flavor we used to order not being in the case (maybe it had not been stocked in a while? We still don?tknow why our question warranted that response), his reply to my daughter was the straw breaking the camel?s back and we have notbeen back in over a year. In a very respectful and courteous tone (because she was raised by me and knows better. Plus, sheworks with public & gets what he obviously doesn?t: that?s your bread and butter??), asked if she could see the nutrition factsguide. She?s an athlete, was trying to weigh her options. He rolled his eyes, sneered at her and told her he did not have tosupply those. Kinda feel that?s not accurate? It just popped back into my mind as we walked past it and noticed how nasty thewindows were, the outside seating, how run down the overall appearance of it all was - there was a faded Easter poster hangingat the door?. Go buy a couple cans of spray paint for those metal seating - it would make such a difference?! But also glancingin as strolling past & see him in an obvious rant, irately waving hands at a frightened looking employee. We frequent thePromenade shopping center all. The. Time. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE !! Visited for the first time today to treat my 4 year old grandson to his favorite ice cream . It... was quite evident that the young lady behind the counter did not want to serve us despite greeting her. We walked in the storearound 12:05pm as soon as they opened. The shades were drawn and all the ice cream was covered with foil and no one at theCounter. Not inviting at all. We were met with silence and a glare from a young lady appearing from the back room as though wewere a bother. This is the double scoop with brownie as my ?add-in.? Not mixed up like it?s supposed to be. The man who works there seems to... try to give the smallest scoops possible. He has done this twice. I once went when there was a younger kid, maybe his son, whogave normal sized scoops and better customer service. We hope every time we go that we won?t get the older man. Read more
